Roles and Responsibilities
• Reporting progress, maintain productions record and monitor material usage.
• Liaise with project manager and owner representative to ensure that other department are synchronized and met set target.
• Ensuring efficient and effective manpower loading on completion program.
• Identifying and act upon opportunities for improvement to work & safety related matters.
• Participate in accident investigation, root cause analysis, and provide assistance in preparing reports.
• Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the department / Section to ensure compliance with the established standard and procedures.
• Motivate, direct, align and guide the team for the best performance, monitor performance and provide continuous appraisal and feedback.
• He is expected to resolve all work-related issues by finding the way to do the jobs as instructed.
• Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
• Clean and store paint tools and equipment after use
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite free from any unnecessary hazards associated with the work being performed by a paint crew.
• Monitor and maintaining a breathing air box during blasting operations
• Monitor and maintaining paint and blast pots during paint operations
• Reads and interprets layout work orders and receive instructions from supervisor regarding task priorities and scheduling.
• Prepares and sets up of necessary tools and equipment for painting processes.
• Selects the appropriate paint or mix paints according to a pre-determined formula.
• Stages parts and welded assemblies for painting and assembly processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Strong working knowledge in industrial paining and pickling techniques and processes.
• Well versed with machining tools, height & depth gauges
• Strong knowledge and experience in metals, relevant product codes, regulations and laws.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
• Demonstrable ability to analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders and material safety data sheets to conduct protective coating processes.
• Familiarity with the metric system and knowledge of applied mathematics (e.g., fractions, measuring) geometry, trigonometry.
• Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
• Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.
