Responsible for the coordination of Operating Room (OR) scheduling, and the coordination and production of required reports by Perioperative Services Department (PSD).
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Organizes, assesses, and monitors PSD reporting process. Coordinates the data validation and billing processes .
2. Compiles the PSD reports and monitors the triggers and the desired targets as defined by the Key Performance Indicators agreed upon by Medical and Clinical Affairs. Creates quarterly reports containing highlights, improvements and/or areas of concern.
3. Assists the Manager, OR Scheduling and Data Management, for the production of PSD report related to the section.
4. Responsible for generating and assessing data warehouse reports for accuracy and validity as a Super-User of the Hospital Data Warehouse for PSD. Liaises with Medical and Clinical Affairs (MCA), and Healthcare Information Technology Affairs (HITA) to improve and streamline reports as necessary for PSD.
5. Assists in distributing and coordinating the PSD Quarterly and Annual reports.
6. Participates in committee meetings as assigned.
7. Receives assigned data requests and ensures that they are completed on time. Maintains quality assurance records and data on activities of the section. Submits required reports when needed.
8. Reports to the Manager, OR Scheduling and Data Management any work-related problems or issues.
9. Follows all Hospital and department policies and procedures.
10. Participates in self and other s education, training and development, as applicable.
Education
Master s or Bachelor s Degree in Operating Room Management, Nursing, Health Informatics or other related discipline is required.
Experience Required
Four (4) years of related Operating Room Scheduling/Management experience in a large, complex hospital, health care institution, or related organization, including two (2) years at a managerial or senior position with Master s or six (6) years with Bachelor s Degree is required.
Other Requirements(Certificates)
- Clinical experience and solid computer knowledge is preferred.
- Statistics, Health/Hospital Administration background is preferred.
