Assists the supervisor of Angiography/Fluoroscopy in the operations of all Angiographic Intervention/Fluoroscopy and Non-interventional procedures in Radiology Department.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Assists supervisor in many of the sectional duties. Acts for the supervisor during absences of the supervisor..
2. Chairs staff meetings in the absence of the supervisor.
3. Designated leader in code situations, evacuations, and other emergencies in Angio/Fluoro section.
4. Designated leader in “code” situations, evacuations and other emergencies in Angio/Fiuoro Section.
5. Formulates and implements curriculum for visiting students.
6. Prepares and presents ongoing continuing education lectures and other materials. Collates and organizes film library and other teaching aids.
7. Assists in preforming inventory assessment and periodic stocktaking of diagnostic supplies. Reports equipment malfunctions and trouble shooting to the supervisor.
8. Assists in booking and pre-procedural order giving. Provides back-up for on-call technologist after hours.
9. Participates in quality assurance procedures, and archives departmental statistics, and other reports.
10. Assists radiologist in endovascular laser therapy procedure.
11. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
12. Participates in self and others education, training, and development, as applicable.
Education
Bachelor s Degree in Radiological Science/ Technology required for Saudi Nationals or Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (minimum 2 years ) for non-Saudi s is required.
Experience Required
Grade 9:
Four (4) years with Bachelor s or six (6) years of related experience for two (2) years program for non-Saudi s is required.
Grade 10: Four (4) years of experience as a Senior Technologist, Angio/Fluoro at KFSH&RC;. Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years. One-hundred (100) cumulative continued medical education [CME].
Other Requirements(Certificates)
Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required. Registration with American Registry of RadiographicTechnologists, the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists, or equivalent required is required for non-Saudis.
