JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government s nominated Prime Contractor (PC) under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. For such maintenance and training, this role is responsible for the preparation and distribution of fatigue management information for Saudi-British Defence Co-operation Programme aircraft
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Analyse and utilise Fatigue Management Information Centre (FMIC) software, flight load and fatigue data transferred from the operational bases.
Compile and distribute fatigue management reports as required by HQRSAF.
Be responsible to HQRSAF for the custodian-ship of all Saudi-British Defence
Co-operation aircraft
Programme fatigue management data.
Advise the RSAF on the use and interpretation of fatigue management data.
Respond to RSAF ad-hoc requests for fatigue management information.
Liaise with the Flight and Fatigue Data gatherers at each of the operational bases to
ensure high quality data is maintained.
Advise HQRSAF on the maintenance and update of Statements of Operating Intent.
Liaise with the Design Authority to ensure fatigue lifting algorithms are valid for the RSAF utilisation.
Install analysis software updates as required.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
Must be educated to a minimum of HNC in an engineering subject together with comprehensive experience as a stress engineer specialising in fatigue analysis.
Must be conversant with in-service aircraft lifting techniques and fatigue management procedures.
Desirable
Degree level education in an engineering subject is preferred.
