BAE Systems is the UK Government s nominated Prime Contractor (PC) under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. For such maintenance training, this roles responsibility for undertaking all NDI activities associated with scheduled or unscheduled maintenance tasks in support of the operations in the NDI Shop and support to Typhoon flying operations at Main Operating Base and deployed locations. These will be in accordance with the RSAF Typhoon maintenance policy, the relevant publications and the BAE Systems Maintenance Organisation Exposition
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Observing all Health and Safety, COSHH and Risk assessment legislation relating to the maintenance activities within the NDI Shop and areas of operation.
• Highlight any areas that could affect the operational capability of the NDI Shop.
• Maintain all tool control in accordance with the regulatory framework.
• Undertake regular checks to ensure all NDI equipment is kept within calibration.
• Assist in the resolution of technical problems and carry out inspection requirements.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities are recorded in accordance with approved company or customer procedures utilising hardcopy and/or electronic systems as directed.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently to the appropriate standards within directed timescales.
• Carry out other duties as directed by the Superintendent and/or Depth Management.
• Provide Training Guidance and mentoring of nominated RSAF personnel leading to the award of a self-certifying signature in additional NDI disciplines
• Providing Supervisory 2 nd Signature (over sign) for engineering and maintenance tasks carried out by the RSAF in support of consolidation training on operational aircraft equipment.
• Maintain accurate log books for the assigned RSAF technician.
• Liaise with RSAF and PC management in order to identify any training opportunities or to highlight any potential training shortfalls.
• Support the production of weekly & monthly progress reports to identify training progression.
• Assist the training co-ordinator by providing additional training and supervision to RSAF and PC personnel as required.
• Providing standby cover as directed in support of Sqn operations
