• The individual will help solve various use cases through real-time analytics on large process data sets including data onboarding strategy, integration from various sources, data cleansing, validation, modeling, transformation, and visualizing results in BI Tools
• Configure and maintain Tableau Server Software Layer for complex data environment with multiple users and stakeholders for a major oil & gas client
• System Administration (includes site creation, server maintenance/Upgrades/patches).
• Performance tuning / Server management of tableau server environment (clustering, load balancing).
• Create/Manage Groups, Workbooks and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources, and Data Connections.
• Manage and support migration of objects (dimensions, measures, hierarchies, reports, workbooks, dashboards), from development to production environments.
• Provide appropriate training and support to business users on the use of Tableau interactive web reports, and Tableau Desktop.
• Partner with the business to design tableau KPI scorecards & dashboards.
• Assist in the identification and migration of data sources to the Tableau Server.
• Assist in the development of workbooks and dashboards to support business initiatives.
• Develop and document standards/best practices for the development and administration of the Tableau platform.
• Work closely with technical architects, data and software engineers to ensure optimal application and data database/warehouse design to support reporting requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Data Enthusiast with working experience in BI Analytics domain for at least 5+ years with significant experience with Tableau Systems
• Experience as Tableau administrator, developing in, configuring, and administering Tableau Server
• Knowledge and experience with Tableau software (Desktop Pro, Server, Interactor), with a strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration, configuration, and development
• Ability to architect a stable Tableau solution guaranteed for high operational availability.
• Experience working with Relational Databases (SQL Server - required, Oracle).
• Expertise in Tableau platform sizing, troubleshooting, tuning & disaster recovery.
• Expertise in scripting within Tableau based on tabcmd/tabadmin
• Good knowledge of Tableau Metadata tables.
• Preferable professional certifications on Advanced level from Tableau
• Strong understanding and experience in BI Tools, ETL, Data Warehousing, and related tools
• Excellent communication, problem-solving skills with an aptitude for self-learning and development on own
