Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct.
Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department/service and within the hospital as per Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
Actively participates in all the education requirements and activities as per the Hospital Education Program.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of practice and employment contract.
Perform cleaning procedures following the Housekeeping Guidelines in Cleaning the Central Supply Department (CSSD). (8470-ADM-1014)
Must be able to follow Housekeeping Guidelines on cleaning critical areas such as:
Operating Room, Labour & Delivery, Hemodialysis Unit, Intensive Care Units (AICU, CICU, PICU, CCU, SCBU, NICU and Nursery Units); (8470ADM-1013).
Perform cleaning procedures in cleaning common areas identified and strictly follow the Housekeeping Guidelines on Cleaning Common Areas (8470-ADM-1006)
Must be able to prepare mixtures of cleaning chemicals and identify chemicals used in cleaning following the Guidelines on Housekeeping Chemical Mixture (8470-ADM-1019)
Perform cleaning measures on newly vacated patient rooms (ordinary or isolation rooms) conforming to the Housekeeping Guidelines on Patient Discharge Room & Isolation Patient Discharge Room (8470-ADM-1007)
Operate all related housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners; wet and dry floor buffers, carpet shampooers and extractors and automatic scrubbing machines.
Re-arrange furniture and various pieces of hospital related equipment as designated.
Able to carry out the procedures outlined in the Housekeeping Guidelines on Infection Control (8470-ADM-1002) such as wearing the appropriate PPE’s.
Make daily cleaning report within the assigned area

Literacy in reading and understanding warning labels and instructions for the use of chemicals and hazardous substances.

Customer-oriented and friendly.
Working quickly without compromising the quality of work and safety.
