General:
To perform, manage, review, and co-ordinate reservoir engineering and geological & geophysical activities related to exploration & field development programs for Khafji Joint Operations assets and recommend fields’ development and drilling programs accommodating the Company’s long range plan and business objectives and strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
Participate and recommend improvements to Petroleum Engineering & Operations Department’s policies, processes and procedures and track their implementation in all levels to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.
Participate in and monitor the development and the implementation of company’s Asset department and division policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of reservoir engineering and G&G;functions so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
Direct the planning & implementation of the day-to-day operations of the company’s Assets providing technical expertise, guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
Liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of interactions & Operations.
Monitor reservoir performance and perform related petroleum engineering analytics.
Direct and monitor all geological and geophysical (G&G;) operations and ensures that all assets related exploration and development program, schedules and safety standards requirements are met. Support, monitor, and coordinate G&G;logistic supporting works.
Participate in the planning and execution of Seismic surveys and manages & oversees G&G;characterization activities ensuring accurate and timely acquiring, processing & interpretation of data for building a new geological model while updating the existing model.
Review and endorse a wide variety of G&G;study reports and analyses. Review and endorse maintenance of a wide variety of geo-science database, G&G;characterization software and modern computer system.
Contribute technically to reservoir engineering related operations and assessment programs and participate to the estimation and evaluation of hydrocarbon reserves and future reservoir performance under various operating conditions. Recommends and generates optimum and economic reservoir management practices.
Construct reservoir static and dynamic models for company’s fields and including QC static models, initialization of dynamic models, calibration with dynamic data, performing history matching, field development planning under uncertainty, providing information and risk mitigation plans. Conduct flow assurance and surface network models that can show network bottlenecks and alternatives. Perform reserves estimation and reservoir performance prediction. Conduct Conducts the economic evaluation of various exploration programs, generates and recommends the most feasible reservoir management plans.
Execute and monitor reservoir engineering programs, reservoir characterization & simulation studies and sensitivities, core & fluid laboratory activities and recommends development well and workover (D&W;) drilling programs, long range exploration & development plans and appropriate oil and gas exploitation techniques based on reservoir engineering study and analysis of accumulated reservoir data in conformity with the Company’s long range plan within approved budgets.
Prepare reservoir management requirements and plans for data information and acquisition plans.
Contribute to smart field development plans and projects including real time data streaming and surveillance.
Manage and review well flow tests; review the interpretation of Well Testing data and collection of reservoir data and monitors the building/updating of dynamic reservoir model ensuring production optimization and accurate reservoir development plans.
Lead and manage the planning of drilling activities for reservoir development and contributes in the preparation of the Drilling/Workover plans in coordination with the Drilling & Workover Superintendent while providing recommendations for drilling operations.
Mange geo-steering monitoring activities during well drilling operations, collection and analysis of core samples while monitoring various G&G;activities.
Maintains knowledge and skills of the latest technologies and methods, and recommends their application or introduction for reservoir engineering, G&G;programs while providing inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of practices, systems, and processes taking into account ‘global best practices’, international standards to improve efficiency & cost effectiveness and productivity standards.
Initiate and establish reservoir engineering guidelines and procedures following global best practices and technologies.
Initiate, perform, review and endorse various reservoir engineering and G&G;operations reports and studies reports prepared by subordinates and contractors; directs the integration and compilation of reservoir management and G&G;activity plans and reports for submission to Management, Governments, and other outside opportunities.
المهارات
Minimum 12 years of experience in reservoir engineering, production engineering, petroleum portfolio modeling and planning.
Proficient in modeling applications such as Petrel, Eclipse, Nexus tNavigator, VIP and Intersect.
Proficient in uncertainty modeling applications such as AHA tools, Enable, MEPO and DMS.
Excellent reading, writing & speaking skills in English.
Excellent Computer skills (MS-Office).
