The Inventory Optimisation team will recognise, model and highlight possible solutions to fulfil demands placed onto IFS by Logistics at RSAF Taif. The Inventory Optimisation team will be proactive in maintaining sufficient stock levels to manage schedules of Maintenance and Upgrade alongside emergent work in the most cost effective and time permitting manner to sustain the Typhoon Fleet.
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day control and direction of the inventory planning and profiling activities undertaken within the Inventory Optimisation team. Ensuring that they achieve enhanced aircraft availability through ensuring maximum asset availability whilst ensuring expenditure is in line with the allocated budget. They will manage additional activities within the repair management function, including configuration of assets and associated RIP management
Your Main Responsibilities
This Inventory Planner will be responsible for but not limited to the following;
• Managing Forecast information on Demand Forecasting & Planning IT.
• Maintain data, parameters and assumptions built into the Demand Forecasting and Planning IT.
• Forecast parts usage, determining and assessing future requirements.
• Liaise with the Arising Rate Management team when trends and usage are causing concerns.
• Liaise with engineering to ensure the correct bill of material are held for maintenance and repair activities.
• Assess the impact of engineering changes on the configuration and the Supply Chain whilst appropriate action is taken to assure availability and limit obsolescence.
• Prepare and prioritise Repairable Assets both on and off Base and co-ordinate assets going in and out of bonded stores.
• Producing New Buy and Repair Recommendations.
• Managing assets in Bond through to serviceability.
• Manage Stock movements to ensure the correct levels of stock are present at all Typhoon Operating Locations.
• Liaise with internal and external customer organisations as appropriate.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships attending meetings as required and report daily any Inventory Optimisation issues to the Supply Chain Planning Group Leader.
• Monitoring and management of C1C/STC assets.
• Management of repair data within Supply Chain IS system.
• Compliance with current SHE policies and requirements.
• To deputise where required by IO Team Lead or his deputy.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
• Minimum of 6 years Supply Chain Experience (Essential)
• Working knowledge of Demand Forecasting & Planning Modelling (Essential)
• High level of competence in MS Office Work packages (Essential)
• Understanding of RSAF procedures. (Desirable)
• Supervisory Experience (Desirable)
