Assist the DOSM during preparation of the yearly revenue and expense budget.
In consultation with the DOSM, establish and direct the organization’s financial, administrative activities and operational procedures to ensure the yearly revenue and expense budgets are achieved.
Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner such as sales call schedules, sales call reports, monthly, weekly and daily reports of the sales team to DOSM
Ensure all sales team members have sales targets, personal sales plans and a personal incentive
Formulate strategies in order to run an effective sales team
Follow up on monthly, weekly and daily sales reports from all sales team members for presentation to the DOSM
Monitor all outstanding balances on all department accounts and follow up with all professional sales team members in a timely fashion to close all outstanding payments
Work closely with all sales team members in the preparation of personal sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and complete a report and analysis at the end of each month
Promote the action of cross selling of other Marriott Hotels with all sales colleagues.
Responsible for ensuring all enquires are responded to within 24 hours
Responsible for organizing team building activities
Responsible for greeting and conducting all site inspections at the hotel
Responsible for the conversion ratio of the group department
Be aware of all market trends and take appropriate urgent action
Carry out duties, projects and other assignments as required
Be aware of all fire, health, safety, emergency and security procedures in the hotel
Attend the international fairs, road shows maintain and build strong relations during these events
Use empowerment and give the team the chance to take initiative at all times
Provide guidance to team members at all times
Develop organizational commitment: Take care of the team’s morale, motivation, loyalty and motivation
Build trust and team work
Identify new trends, recruit and develop new talents
Set priorities, develop managerial work strategies (e.g.: use of delegation), establish necessary methods to track and monitor to ensure effectiveness
Set performance standards, linking budget to performance, reporting results and holding the sales team accountable for results
Be a role model for all team members in terms of work and life balance, time management, dedication to guest engagement, dedication to quality work
Analyze performance of the sales team, address strengths and improvement areas in order to improve effectiveness
Train regularly, develop and coach team
Follow up on achievements of the team and properly recognize the success of team members
Daily Responsibilities
Seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities, initiate action plan to approach and secure new business for the company and conduct daily sales calls and meetings with guests
Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
Develop and / or maintain and improve business relations with all customers of the company
Ensure that all sales team members follow our standard operating policies and procedures
Ensure that all sales team members are well groomed, punctual to duty, complete their tasks on-time, attend all meetings and meet all their deadlines set by Director of Sales and Hotel.
Ensure that all account profiles in PMS are updated and database is well maintained and up to date
Ensure that all daily sales reports for all team members are loaded in PMS
Ensure that all leads(groups & events) are loaded and the status is up to date in PMS
Attend and lead the daily sales morning briefing and the afternoon de-briefing and ensure all sales team members are present and on time
Weekly Responsibilities
Attend weekly Yield Meetings
Attend weekly Sales & Marketing Meetings
Responsible for reading the weekly sales call reports and give necessary guidance if / when needed
Conduct sales calls with the Sales team
Monthly Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring all monthly reports are sent to the relevant people
Responsible for conducting the monthly sales meeting to monitor results for each team member
المهارات
Must be Arabic speaking with local release
Must have 5 years and above experience as director of sales / dept. head in an international branded hotels.
Must be proficient in writing, speaking and negotiating in Arabic and English. Additional language is a plus Courteous and efficient telephone manner.
Excellent organizational/administrative skills with office management experience
Ability to prioritize tasks and to manage workload using own initiative
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with limited resources
Ability to appreciate “the big picture”, whilst having a talent for detail and an inherent thoroughness in task approach, follow-up and completion
Strong writing skills with excellent spelling and grammar
Excellent computer skills - sound knowledge of Microsoft word, email, internet and intranet system
Numerate. Ability to manage budgets
Previous experience in luxury hotels, travel and tourism, service sector preferred
Ability to inspire confidence and gain credibility with senior management
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality at all times
High degree of personal loyalty and integrity
