Based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, GCCLAB High-Voltage Laboratory is a new independent laboratory

for testing and certification of medium and high voltage components used in the electrical infrastructure. Our customers are manufacturers and utilities world-wide, in particular GCC state and MENA region. The High-Voltage Laboratory issues Type Test Certificates, Test Reports and Inspection Reports for tests on cables, cable accessories, insulators, power transformers, instrument transformers, GIS, switchgear, panels and other components. We are currently looking for HV Lab technicians (with previous experience), who can handle a dynamic job with a lot of responsibility.

Provide support to Test Engineers in performing tests and collecting and recording test data.
Preparation and execution of planned tests under the guidance of the test engineer.
Assemble, cable and connect bus bars for sample testing.
Ability to assemble large cabinets, connect bus bars and set cabling of electrical equipment as may be required to support fabricating sheet metal parts and bus bars as required to support scheduled tests.
Carry out Periodic check on earth discharge rods, grounding connectivity, maintenance of measuring cables /connectors, i.e. maintain/Repair of small electrical instruments like ammeter, voltmer, and laboratory tools.
Arrange for movement of test equipment’s / test samples /test instruments as and when required.

المهارات
Work is divided in day and night shifts
Ability to work in a small team environment with strong verbal and written communications skills is required, must be comfortable operating in a precision testing laboratory workplace, where clear, concise and accurate communications are essential.
Associate degree with minimum 2 or more years of experience in a test laboratory or product manufacturing environment, preferably for an electrical or industrial products company.
Must have a basic understanding of electrical concepts and electrical safety standards and procedures. Experience with electrical distribution equipment is preferred, hands-on electrician training is a plus.
Proficiency using excel and other MS office 365 tools.
Direct experience fabricating sheet metal parts and bus bars preferred.
