Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Job Purpose: To identify and develop business opportunities for Bulk Material Handling business which will help the company achieve its strategic and business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Overall responsible for developing the Conveyor belt, Rollers/ Idlers, Splice Material’s, Vulcanizing Equipment’s etc.. Business of the company.
• Expert technical knowledge about Bulk Material Handling / Conveyor belt and its related products and its application.
• Prepare an annual business plan for the Conveyor Belt business of the company.
• Managing Sales and After Sales Service activities.
• Develop and implement information systems which will provide data on existing and potential customers to enable the company to identify opportunities for new sales.
• Prepare quotations against the customer’s inquiry as per the pricing guidelines set by the General Manager.
• Monitor and review the performance of the entire sales team. Make a market survey and identify the potential for the products and services of the company.
• Develop and implement systems and processes to enable the effective monitoring of performance and the identification of improvements in product quality and service delivery.
• Assist in the development of sales and marketing literature and associated documents to improve the marketing of the company and its products.
• Provide the main source of expertise to the company on business development issues.
• Maintain an awareness of developments in the fields of product marketing and research to ensure that the company continues to compete effectively
• Develop close working relationships with other key functions in the organization to keep them aware of, and seek their views on proposed business development and to ensure that there is a coordinated approach to these.
• Maintain an awareness of any possible threats to the business and suggest for change in policies and processes that will provide for such contingencies.
