Main Responsibilities

• Plan, Establish, Coordinate, and Direct Quality, Safety, Security and Environment programs designed to ensure effective and consistent processes with established standards by performing the duties personally or through subordinates.
• Assure all customer complaints or deviations related to distribution activities (e.g. temperature excursions), warehouse activities (e.g. damages) and repackaging activities are thoroughly investigated and escalated according to the defined escalation procedure.
• Ensure all customer returns, which require quality involvement, are handled in a timely manner. Products are investigated physically and an impact assessment on quality and compliance is performed.
• Review and approve changes related to all Warehouse processes.
• Perform Quality, Safety and Security Improvement meetings, where trends on deviations and complaints are followed up as well as the implementation of the related corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) (CAR).
• Perform Quality, Safety and Security Management Review meetings according to the applicable BCO Standard.
• Assure internal audits in the warehouse and repackaging department are performed as per the approved plan, in order to align with the applicable relevant regulation and BCO requirement
• Review and approve Quality, Safety and Security related procedures to assure the day-to-day activities are performed in accordance with the relevant regulation(s) and BCO requirement.
• Review and approve master data related to distribution activities to assure products are stored according to required storage conditions and are distributed according to required transport conditions.
• Work closely & collaborate with Quality, Safety and Security Representatives from the sector organizations (Supply Chain, Franchises, Principals and Commercial Organization).
• Coordinate pre-shipment procedure to ensure all ship-outs follow the Quality, Safety and Security requirements of the Principals and Customers.
• Ensure required consignment inspection on receipt for Quality, Safety and Security conformity at BLC and Branches (Random).
• Implement and execute warehouse ISO programs for BLC as per ISO standards.
• Prepare monthly report on pre-shipment Sampling, Consignment Inspection & Warehouse Standards, as required
• Coordinate with PMT/DP for pre-shipment sample approval
• Conduct Random transit trail inspections in coordination with Principals [BLC].
• Create and Finalize transit trail quality evaluation report.
• Random Consignment inspections as per agreed sampling plan for regular & specific Quality & Safety parameters (Pallet, TiHi, Temperature etc.)
• Lead Product recalls, as directed by QHSSE Head & Principals by ensuring all procedures, documentation & disposals are carried out as instructed by the Principal and Saudi Gov’t authorities
• Liaise with approved 3rd party laboratories for any specific quality parameters that need to be tested where facilities are not available in-house
• Compile transit Damage inspection report and finalize survey and compensation
• Coordinate with factories for sampling plans, quality inspection and final decision on market release
• Ensure that all quality, safety and security requirements and trainings are coordinated through L&D;and approved by QHSSE Head.
• Train relevant parties on quality requirements of finished goods and quality systems to ensure critical quality requirements.
• Provide Cold Chain Support at point of storage in the Distribution Centre & ensure compliance to Good Cold Chain Practices
• Initiate activities aimed at managing quality, safety and security issues with internal and external customers / channels including complaints / rejections / technical support / pilferages and product handling
• Prepare Leadership reports and communications regarding quality, safety and security issues in Logistics and Warehousing.
• Provide interface with supply chain for customer alert triggers and feedback data
• Provide coaching and mentoring inputs to warehouses/re-packers and corporate office teams during external regulatory body audits and inspections
• Communicate local / statutory regulations and requirements with change recommendations to ensure quality, safety and security compliance in Operations (warehousing / transportation) after getting the required approvals from QHSSE Head.
• Lead in Quality, Safety and Security Expert interventions for Operational reviews / workshops and training events in BLC.
• Define Quality requirements for promotional packing and creation of relevant directional documentation
• Utilize external links ( industry, professional associations ) to understand and remain up-to-date on the legislation and identify Quality, Safety and Security practices for implementation in the Operations
• Recommend and lead CAPA (Corrective Actions & Preventive Actions) for the processes, as per ISO standards within BLC.
• Plan security for special and high-risk events.
• Review financial reports to ensure efficiency and quality of security operations.
• Coordinate security operations or activities with public law enforcement, fire and other agencies.
• Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
• Prepare reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
• Analyze and evaluate security operations to identify risks or opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct, support, or assist in governmental reviews, internal corporate evaluations, or assessments of the overall effectiveness of the facilities security processes.
• Communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
• Any other assigned duties related to the job by the management
