Work within a team of technical advisors with broad petroleum engineering experiences and specialties to develop and deliver a wide range of professional development programs and courses targeting reservoir engineers (reservoir management, reservoir simulation, well testing, reserves, etc.) of all experience levels.
Work closely with other technical senior engineers from other disciplines including geophysicists, geologists, drilling engineers, production engineers, petrophysicists, unconventional resources, and facilities engineers, in constructing an excellent strategic plans/programs.
Work with the Division General Supervisor to address all training needs of upstream of multifaceted reservoir engineering discipline.
Assists in the implementation of Division policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled
Contributes in the planning of the development well and workover (D&W;) drilling programs and reservoir engineering programs for all fields in conformity with the Company’s long range plan and within approved budgets to meet established production targets.
Coordinates with other departments and contractors for operational planning & arrangement and leads (under the supervision of the Supervisor) all reservoir engineering operations including collection and analysis of fluid samples, well logging, well stimulation jobs, flow tests and analyses, reservoir surveillance programs, core laboratory tests & analyses ensuring that reservoir engineering related operations meet the requirement of Company’s exploration and development programmes, schedules, and safety standards.
Develops (and upon approval) leads the execution of reservoir characterization, modelling, simulation and asset evaluation programs including PVT analysis, conventional & special core analysis, reservoir and individual well performance review, vertical flow profile analysis, up-scaling, setting boundary conditions and operational conditions, model initialization, history matching, future performance prediction and reserves evaluation.
Constructs different types of reservoir dynamics simulation models including full-field and refined focussed models; validates initialization and history match dynamic model.
Constructs and validates single well models and defines field development scenario while performing perditions runs and evaluates results to optimize reservoir management using reservoir simulation techniques.
Contributes to litho-logical and textural characterisation /rock typing and relation to fluid flow, building /updating and up-scaling 3D static model and characterization of fluid systems.
Develops market intelligence on latest available reservoir technology and identifies & recommends (to the General Supervisor) the required technology (like artificial lift methods) to be acquired to support and enhance Reservoir engineering practices.
Provides data, assists in surface facilities network simulation for network system optimisation, participates, and provides support in de-bottlenecking of certain facility layout.
Provide support and inputs on understanding surface production/injection facilities function and layout.
Designs and evaluates fluid and rock laboratory studies; evaluates field applications of enhanced oil recovery while designing pilot scale project including simulation and follows up on their implementation.
Designs pilot monitoring program for timely performance assessment and evaluate results for wider applications.
