A 6G Certified welder shall perform repair WORK in relation to pipelines, platforms and other Offshore structures , small bore welding ,and including TIG/MIG welding procedure and Other welding works & repairs required for the boiler tubes repairs as directed by the Saudi ARAMCO Welding code 01,02,03,05,11 and 12 ,for welding various types of industrial pipes (Stainless steel, Carbon Steel, Non Ferrous and Exotic Alloys) And be able to read & interpret Fabrication drawings, weld symbols and work independently.
A) Select type and size of shielded metal ARC Welding (SMAW) and gas tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) electrodes ,tungsten’s , and filler wires, according to approved welding
Procedure specifications.
B) Performs SMAW in all position on pipe, plate , and structural steel using basic cellulose or rutile electrodes , as specified under SAUDI ARAMCO welding procedure.
C) Performs GTAW in all positions on sheet metal, and on alloy steel pipe.
D) Operates various types of SMAW and GTAW equipment in workshop environment .
E) Performs plasma arc and arc-air cutting and gouging operations.
F) Operates oxy-acetylene equipment (Manual Torch and automatic cutting machines)for
Cutting , bevelling ,and brazing plate and pipe.
G) Repair small castings using various welding processes.
H) May be required to perform specialized welding procedures, depending on work and location ,including submerged arc welding ,gas metal arc welding, and flux core arc welding on carbon and low alloy steels.
I) Performs general housekeeping and cleaning of his work area
J) Performs other miscellaneous and minor duties as directed by the foreman or Supervisor.
المهارات
a) Be highly skilled welder with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in various types of welding technology and SAUDI ARAMCO certified for pipe and structural work
b) Hold current Saudi ARAMCO recognised welding certificates in all SADUI ARAMCO welding codes 01,02,03,05,07,11 & 12 throughout the duration of the contract.
c) All Welders should be certified with a third party certificate all welding types ,which will ease the recertification process.
