2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
Identifies and manages asset reliability risks to plant or business operations and provides specialist technical advice to the Maintenance and Operation Divisions on statistical analysis, reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety systems. Participates in the final inspection of new installations, develops analytical methods for determining reliability of components, equipment and processes and provides specialized technical guidance and support to the Reliability Engineers and the Discipline Engineering Section in developing and updating predictive and preventive maintenance programs.

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description Performance Indicators
Review plant information concerning assigned analysis activities to determine what actual problem requires resolution and obtain any additional information needed to understand the problem.
Keep track of failure events & preparing downtime reports and supporting role in achieving the organization Reliability KPIs and also providing inputs to Reliability methodologies.
Conducting Life data analysis(Weibull analysis) and Downtime analysis for all high and moderate critical assets and calculating & monitoring of all established Reliability KPIs.
Establishes and maintains file for each analysis to assure future feedback can be analyzed for proactive improvements.
Provides statistical inputs/ supports to Rotating engineering expertise/ Reliability methodology Engineers during their methodology studies.( RCM/RIS/RBI/RCA)
Provides information to the Section Head, Reliability Performance as necessary for the preparation and planning of schedules and for issues requiring reporting to higher levels of management.
Ensures that reports are prepared for problem resolution that are complete, including basic recommended action plan, general costs, timing for action, reasons why action is necessary, and what are risks if action is not taken by responsible group.
Track implementation of recommended actions to assure that action taken satisfies the expectations for problem resolution.
Provides monitoring equipment performance trends, recognising and acting on deviations from reliability and availability targets of the facilities.
Supporting Reliability Methodology Engineers for Internal and External Audits by providing relevant inputs.
Monitors and analyses ORACLE EAM data for quality and quantity of Core and Transaction Data related to equipment performance entered by the site users.
Participates in the preparation of the preliminary monthly and annual budget for the Reliability Department.
Keeps up to date with new technology relevant to Reliability related in the company through discussions with consultants and suppliers, technical publications and self-development.
Shares knowledge and methods of applications with other Reliability Department staff.
5. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Reliability Strategy section head and team, MPC IT.
External : Regular contact with Reliability Software’s service providers..
6. JOB RELEVANT INFORMATION (BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY):
Scope Works according to well-designed procedures, clearly set procedures or craft standards. Work is subject to detailed checks at regular intervals

7. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Qualifications/Knowledge and Skills :
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Disciplines such as Control or Electrical Engineering may also be considered. Certified Training in RCM Modules preferred.
• Minimum 10 years Reliability engineering experience in similar fields implementing and maintaining Reliability software system in any large chemical/ petrochemical, Fertilizers, Mining Company with comparable size of the plants
• Competent in the use of PC and relevant engineering computer software applications.
• Experienced in Complete Maintenance Management Solution (CMMS) and reliability improvement applications
• Experience in troubleshooting, analysing and resolving engineering problems independently
• Knowledge of international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications
• Comprehensive understanding of HSE and other regulatory compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written English
