IT-to-Business Alignment:
Participate in the collection of the strategic and tactical business requirements for IT services and in the definition of the business to IT objectives on the strategic and tactical levels
Participate in business strategy meetings and workshops
Contribute in the development of CID strategy in-line with AMG corporate strategy and objectives
Contribute in the development of CID policies, procedures and processes that support AMG business strategy
Familiarize the team with AMG business strategy, vision, objectives, targets, standards, approaches and plans to align the CID strategy with the overall AMG business strategy.
Leadership and Coaching:
Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
Motivate and inspire team members
Lead by setting a good example (role model) - behavior consistent with words
Coach and help develop team members; help resolve dysfunctional behavior

Communicate team status, task accomplishment, and direction:
Provide status reporting of team activities against their targets plan and schedule
Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams
Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team
Provide guidance to the team based on management direction
Strategy & Planning:
Lead the network and infrastructure systems operational planning and projects, and organize and negotiate the allocation of IT resources.
Build collaborative relationships and seek feedback to continuously improve the service provided in supporting the business groups in meeting their goals.
Develops long-term vision of business facing infrastructure systems. Collaborates with stakeholders in the planning and implementation of business area roadmaps.
Oversee all documentation related to networks and infrastructure support, configuration and operations.
Ability to understand technology trends and anticipates changes in business conditions. Proactively works with Senior IT Leadership to ensure appropriate action is taken to accommodate those changes.
Ensure that network and infrastructure systems meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
Review and analyze existing networks and infrastructure systems effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of network and systems usage best practices.
Acquisition & Deployment:
Approve purchase of equipment and supplies in order to meet operational requirements of the business.
Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support AlMajdouie Group business and strategy.
Management responsibility for the analysis, evaluation, development, testing and implementation of infrastructure systems
Negotiate contracts with software and service providers.
Liaise with company’s software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
Ensure the conformance with the selected standards and quality models and approaches during the networks and systems installation and configuration process
Ensuring necessary technical training, awareness and experience levels are maintained within the team or department relevant to the systems being supported and processes being used.
Operational Management:
Ensure the resources availability and performance for the support for network and infrastructure services on level 3 and level 4 as needed
Facilitate the delivery of the training, knowledge transfer and sufficient documentation for the service desk team to supply the networks and systems support activities on both level 1 and level 2
Facilitate the guidance to IT operations on operational activities related to infrastructure and systems
Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures. Recommend, within divisional policy, appropriate service and staffing levels.
Ensures successful planning and implementation of network and systems projects to timescale, cost and quality requirements.
Manages network services investment, provision and resourcing according to organizational policy and procedures.
Ensures consistent delivery and operation of high quality networking solutions, services and support to internal and external clients.
Monitors and reports on the quality and effectiveness of network service management and performance to meet business and organizational objectives.
Review, and help Identify and implement improvements to, the provision of service operations
Identify, design, implement and maintain effective policies, procedures, tools, techniques and plans relating to network service level management activities.
Ensures consistent standards of stakeholder communication and customer service.
Administers systems and servers related to district LAN and WAN (e.g. email systems, accounts, workstation ID, IP assignments, classroom computers, security, antivirus, spyware, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of services to authorized users.
Designs network infrastructure (physical and virtual) for the purpose of ensuring effective and efficient networking systems.
Maintains network operations and software applications (e.g. servers (file, print, application, WEB, database, proxy, etc.), operating systems, district wide server backup, routine maintenance programs, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient operations.
Manages servers and network resources including network applications for the purpose of delivering services in compliance with established guidelines and/or objectives.
Participates in a variety of planning and development activities, including district wide committees for the purpose of creating short and long range plans for programming support to the district.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Prepares written materials (e.g. procedures, system level documentation, reports, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
Recommends equipment, supplies and materials for the purpose of acquiring required items and completing jobs efficiently.
Researches trends, products, equipment, tests, etc. for the purpose of recommending procedures and/or purchases.
Responds to emergency situations as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns.
Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources (e.g. staff, administrators, school site personnel, outside vendors and service providers, etc. ) for the purpose of providing technical assistance and support.
Trains other District staff (primarily within the technology area) for the purpose of ensuring their ability to use new and/or existing operating systems and application software.
