IT Deputy Manager

Job Description:

The company:

A leading Bahraini insurance company is engaged in an offshore insurance business in KSA. The company is a well-known in the Saudi insurance market and it offers all classes of insurance. They are currently looking for a IT Deputy Manager

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Ensures that the change management process is being adequately followed and implemented.
2. Supervises the implementation of the IT plan and ensures that they are carried out by his subordinates.
3. Assists staff of the IT Department and the IT units in the branches of the Company in solving issues and problems.
4. Assumes responsibility for research, development and maintenance both at Head office and in the branches, for hardware and networks.
5. Supervises the implementation of systems and sub-systems generally involving a single or multiple functional area of corporate and divisional operations.
6. Maintains contacts with hardware, software and communication suppliers for the proper functioning of the company’s systems.
7. Conducts negotiations with potential providers of hardware and software needed for the Company and for the purchase of all materials and equipment as requested by the IT manager.
8. Supervises the training of all the personnel of the Company in the proper use of the system.
9. Makes sure that all contingency plans and controls are operative and able to meets the standard and procedures of the Company.
10. Makes sure that all files are properly organized, saved and stored.
11. Prepares and submits to IT Manager regularly progress reports on the work of IT Department.
12. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory rules and regulations relating to
IT, Privacy, Security and other.
13. Ensures implementation and routine review Environmental and Information Security
Policy.
14. Undertakes any other assignment related to his functions as per his direct superior’s
instructions.
15. Enforce the code of ethics.
16. Develops, monitors, and reports on internal controls .
17. Assists in processing changes to enhance performance and efficiency.
18. Assists the Information Technology Manager in formulating and implementing policies, programs, procedures and standards for activities of the Information Technology Department.
19. Handles the project management of projects assigned by the IT manager.

Requirement:

-Arabic language is a must.
-The candidate have to be fluent in English

- BSC computer science / BSC Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- minimum 7 years of experience

- Technical certification in Cisco, Microsoft, and Oracle are preferred.
-The candidate must have experience in IT management or supervisory.
-ITIL & Project management certifications are preferred.
