Project Manager

Palace Consulting Engineers is an Engineering Design & Construction Management Company catering its services to customers like Saudi Electricity Company. Currently we are hiring a team of Consultants for our project of HVDC Converter Stations Construction Management.

Duties & Responsibilities of Project Manager

-Reporting to the respective Division Manager / Department Manager / Project Manager / Group Leader of PCE’s Client - Saudi Electricity Company.

-Full authority and overall responsibility to manage, supervise, and control the works.

-Co-ordinate with the Contractors for the execution of the contract scope.

-Implement PCE and SEC Project Quality Systems to the satisfaction of the project requirements.

-Instruct the contractors for any non-conformances, and get implement the preventive action plan to prevent the re-occurrence of non-conformances, all in coordination with the QA/QC Consultant & respective discipline Engineers.

-Ensure safety measures are implemented at all times.

-Control of all project documents.

-Review the construction schedule submitted by the Contractor / Sub Contractor and coordinate, monitor,

-Review the proposals submitted by the Contractors for all the supplies required, samples, and technical submittals prior to the approval for its use at Site.

-Ensure the contractor submits the approval request of procurement of all material/equipment.

-Approve the material packages submitted by the contractor / subcontractor and follow up with Contractor / Sub Contractor to ensure on time Procurement all the required materials.

-Monitor Construction Schedule and feedback the Client in forms of daily / weekly / progress reports.

-Coordinate with the Contractors representatives on all matters related to purchasing (material technical specification, dates material required on site, etc.) for general construction activities.

-Coordinate with the Planning Engineer on the preparation of work schedules, issue approvals to the contractors, and monitor to ensure timely progress of the works.

-Review changes and variations, and evaluate impact of those on time and schedule.

-Reviewing & approving interim payment, monthly progress cost control report, variations work report, and Contractors /sub-contractors payments.

-Attend Weekly Site Meetings with the Contractor. Review Minutes of Meetings, comment, and finalize.

Qualifications Required for Project Manager

-Bachelors of Electrical Engineering

-20 Years of Total Experience out of Min of 5 Years experience as Project Manager on EHV SS & HVDC Construction Projects.

Other Requirements of Project Manager

-PMP Certification, People Management, Leadership, Company Representation, Microsoft Office, MS Projects or Primavera & Tech Savvy.

-Shall be aware of International Engineering Standards and should have worked on the Supervision, Consulting and Project Monitoring of similar capacity of Substation Constructions
