Required Qualification and Experience:
* Shall be a degree holder in environmental science or meteorology or other related field with six (6) years experience
* (or) Master’s degree in chemical or environmental engineering or other related field with four (4) years experience
* Should also have a diploma and sound knowledge in computer programming.
Scope of work:
The Meteorology and Modeling Specialist initiates the preparation and operation of computer programs using USEPA approved models in air pollution, water pollution and other environmental areas. Air pollution predictions in industrial cities. Air pollution monitoring and Meteorology. Supervision of computer database and network systems. Data processing of Environmental Monitoring. Developing and operating appropriate computer programs for handling the environmental monitoring data. Capable of writing concise technical reports. Assessment of ambient air quality data.
