Financial Controller

We’re seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to provide strategic financial management and leadership within our Infrastructure Services business The Financial Controller would be responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective strategic and operational financial management in support of the overall strategy and key performance objectives. You will be responsible for the finances of our central functions including HR, Commercial and Work Winning.

Additionally the post holder will be responsible for;

Co-ordinate and manage the Operating Groups in their reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities ensuring the outputs are produced to the highest standard and in accordance with all timetables and deadlines.
Consolidation of MIS reporting ensuring demands of internal and external stakeholders are met.
Be the immediate check and balance for Operational Business Finance, interrogating forecasts and actuals for consistency and accuracy and partnering with the Business Finance teams to provide constructive challenge and help them improve and the business to identify and manage risk.
Be the MIS working capital “czar”; ensuring best practices is applied in the management of working capital across MIS including engagement in major bids as required.
Leading programmes which continually improve operational finance across the Group including the maximization of the benefit that can be gained by using SSO to provide back office services. At all times promoting standardization, governance and compliance.
To be the primary point of contact with Group Finance to ensure Group reporting, governance and compliance requirements are met in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner including managing discussions to ensure Group and Operational Finance activities interface fully with each other and work seamlessly together.
