GENERAL REQUIREMENT:
All Engineers shall have an respective Engineering Degree with a minimum of 7 years Engineering Design experience from Conceptual Front End Engineering Design to Detailed Engineering related to Oil & Gas, Refineries & Petrochemical Industries and shall be conversant with the application and verification of relevant International Codes and Standards and capable of working on all project activities found in such Industries. They shall also provide Procurement & Construction Management support. All Engineers should have Engineering Design Consultancy Experience. Preference will be given to Candidates with Saudi Aramco experience. They should be able to work in a project task force environment with Client Representatives. Shall have very good inter-personal and effective communication skills and guide / train junior engineers
1) SENIOR CIVIL DESIGN ENGINEERS
Shall be experience in Industrial & Community Infrastructure Development, site development / preparation design, grading, paving, road works (plan & profile), utility piping, storm water / drainage system involving revamping, process plant offsite piping systems, expansion and grass-root projects and be familiar with current industry work process and engineering software applications such as LandDesktop, Civil 3D & Bentley In-Roads.
2) SENIOR STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEERS
Shall be experience in both reinforced concrete and steel structures. Should have thorough knowledge of industry standard software applications, including STAAD.Pro, have experience with Intergraph PDS, and SmartPlant Applications, and AVEVA PDMS, and be familiar with current industry work process.
3) SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEERS - ELECTRICAL
a) Electrical Engineering Degree with a minimum of 10 - 12 years of engineering experience, and be conversant with International codes and standards Candidates should have a minimum of 5 - 6 years experience within the Process Plant, Oil & Gas, and Petro-chemical Industries, and will have been exposed to all electrical engineering activities and work process found in this sector, including the preparation of;
• Technical specifications and project instructions
• Technical calculations
• Electrical deliverables for the process plant industries
• Conversant with industry standard software applications, including Intergraph and AVEVA Electrical applications and ETAP
• Be a to work in a project task force environment with client representatives
• Assist with development of junior staff
Preference will be given to candidates with Saudi Aramco, and Saudi Electricity Company experience.
b) Shall be capable of independently handling Electrical Power Generation Department. Shall be conversant with International standards and shall have minimum of 15 - 20 years of experience with reputed Consultancy organization engaged in Detail Design of Gas / Steam Generation plants. Shall be able to prepare Technical Specification,
c) Design Data, Detailed Design Drawings, Generator Protection Drawings, General auxiliary System design, Calculations etc. Shall be conversant with softwares like ETAP to conduct required studies. Shall be able to review Detail Design drawings from other consultants and guide / train junior engineers. Experience with Smartplant software electrical is preferred
d) Shall be capable of independently handling Overhead / Underground transmission lines from 33kv through 380kv. Shall be conversant with International standards and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards /requirements and shall have minimum of 15 years of overall experience including atleast 5 years of SEC experience. Shall be able to prepare Technical Specification, Design Data, Detailed Design Drawings like Line Route Plan, Plan & Profile, Tower Spotting, Sag-Tension Calculations, Loading Trees, Design of Steel / Wooden pole structures etc. Shall be able to review Detail Design drawings from other Consultants and guide / train junior engineers. Experience with Smartplant software electrical is preferred.
e) Shall be capable of independently handling all electrical activities of Detail Design engineering of Oil & Petrochemical projects. Shall be conversant with International standards including North American standards. Shall have 15 - 20 years of overall experience including at least 5 years in Middleeast. Shall be able to prepare Electrical One Line Diagrams, Protection & Metering Diagrams, Equipment, Power, Lighting, Grounding Layouts, Elementary / Interlock Diagrams, Electrical Area Classification maps, Cable schedules, Electrical calculation / Relay setting Calculations etc. Shall be able review Detail Design Drawings / documents from other consultants and vendor information. Shall be able to coordinate with other disciplines and participate in discussions with clients. Hands on experience on ETAP and Saudi Aramco exposure will be distinct advantages. Shall be able to guide / train junior engineers. Experience with Smartplant electrical is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates with Saudi Aramco, and Saudi Electricity Company experience.
4) SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEERS - INSTRUMENTATION
Shall have exposure to all instrument engineering activities and work processes found in this sector, including the preparation of;
• Technical specifications and project instructions
• Technical calculations, including the sizing of control valve, pressure relief valves and flow meters.
• Experience with DCS, PLS, and ESD engineered systems found in the process plant industries.
• Experience with Field Bus Technology
• Conversant with industry standard software applications, including Intergraph SmartPlant Instrumentation.
• Be able to work in a project task force environment with client representatives
• Assist with development of junior staff
Preference will be given to candidates with Saudi Aramco experience.
5) SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEERS - PROCESS
Shall have exposure to all process engineering activities and work processes found in this sector, including the preparation of;
• Technical specifications and project instructions
• Technical calculations for sizing of static and rotating equipment, horizontal and vertical vessels, and process and utility piping systems, for onsite and offsite process units.
• Conversant with industry standard software applications, including AspenTech Process Evaluator, KBase, and Hysis, including Intergraph SmartPlant applications.
• Be able to work in a project task force environment with client representatives
• Assist with development of junior staff
Preference will be given to candidates with Saudi Aramco experience.
6) SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEERS - COMMUNICATION:
Shall demonstrate experience in:
a. Data Network Engineer
• Candidate should be Cisco and Microsoft Certified, with minimum 4 - 9 years experience in the design of ATM and Ethernet (LAN / WAN).
• Data Engineer responsible for data network design and documentation. Project responsibilities will include visits to client locations, document retrieval, and LAN/WAN design and integration.
b. Senior Outside Plant Network Design Engineer:
Responsible for cabling copper and fiber design and distribution. Including; conduit system, splicing technology, encasement and Protection.
Conversant in performing engineering studies in the planning and design of Telecommunication networks for outside plant network for fiber optics and copper cable in the process plant industries.
Must be able to conduct engineering surveys of existing infrastructure, and proposed outside plant facilities, including the preparation of land use permits.
Coordinate with the client regarding provision of telephone facilities on existing and proposed structures. The preparation of exchange demand forecast and the documentation for primary cable and manholes and conduit network, prepare detailed engineering design for primary and secondary cable distribution, fiber loop network for remote switching unit and Central office interconnection, and manhole and conduit job. Prepare bill of materials and cost estimates of the outside plant project.
c. RCDD Structured Cabling System Design Engineer:- 10 years of experience in design and engineering conceptual and detailed. Conversant with latest international standard Viz. BICSI TDMM, EIA/TIA, ITU. Experienced in commercial and residential building telecom, inside plant cabling system. Capable of calculating the usable space, sizing the telecom rooms, sizing and selection of horizontal and riser cable transport system, grounding system, surge protection system based on the type of
application. Should be conversant with the NEC and NFPA codes. Should have through knowledge of specifications of various categories of twisted pair copper (cat3, cat5, cat6) and inside plant fiber optic cables (multimode, singlemode), RF coaxial cables, CCTV and CATV and other video cables and their physical, electrical characteristics and data rate capabilities. Should be able to prepare drawings, material list, specifications and scope of work for the proposal and detailed design.
d. Structured Cabling System Design Engineer:- 5 years of experience in design and engineering conceptual and detailed. Conversant with latest international standard Viz. BICSI TDMM, EIA/TIA, ITU. Experienced in commercial and residential building telecom, inside plant cabling system. Capable of calculating the usable

7) SENIOR CROSS COUNTRY PIPELINE DESIGN ENGINEERS
Shall have exposure to all FEED & Detailed Engineering experience and work processes found in this sector, including the preparation of;
• Pipe wall thickness calculations
• Area classification
• Hydrotest pressure calculations
• Road cross analysis
• Upheaval buckling
• Hot tapping calculations
• Stress and stability analysis
• Pipeline Route optimization, layout & selection
• Pipeline sizing and design, fittings & valves,
• Pigging system including launcher and receiver, scraper traps, storage tanks, terminal facilities and plot plan
• Alignment sheets
• Expansion loop
• Cathodic protection system
• Pipeline Surge Analysis
• Familiar with ASME, API, ANSI, code etc.
• Conversant with industry standard software applications like Caesar II, Autopipe, Flowmaster, Pipeflow
• Responsibility includes Detail Design, preparation of Specifications, material selection & MTO.
8) ELECTRICAL RELAY PROTECTION DESIGN ENGINEER:
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering specialized in Power or equivalent. Minimum 15 - 20 years of experience in Design of Protection and Control Schematic Drawings, Relay Setting Calculations for Distance Relay / Differential Relay etc, CT / PT calculation and other related protection drawings and calculations of 115kV, 230kV & 380kV sub-stations
and generating stations. Must have worked with Power Engineering Consulting organizations like TATA Consulting Engineers for a period of minimum 12-15 years. Should have thorough knowledge of IEE / IEC standards and broad knowledge of American and European relay equipment. Thorough knowledge in the selection and recommendation of protective scheme involving HV / EHV Transmission / Substation Projects.
9) MECHANICAL – PIPING ENGINEER
Shall have exposure to Process in plant piping engineering activities and work processes found in this sector and will be responsible for the following :
Proposal Stage:
Evaluate incoming RFQ’s for Piping scope of work and quantify manhour requirements and any special technical requirements to complete the job
FEED/ Project Proposal
Articulate overall Project Piping requirements as defined by Process Engineering through PFD’s, P&ID;’s and Basis of Design Documents
Search for and retrieve existing relevant client drawings
Develop Piping portion of the Project drawing control
Revise existing Plot Plans to incorporate Piping installation or coordinate with Facilities Planner to develop “Grassroots” Layout
Receive from Process Engineering, process generated Piping requirements such as Line Designation Table, Piping MAOP, Design Pressure & Temperature,
Special Pipe Material considerations, Pipe sizing, Pipe Slope requirements, etc
