OVERALL PURPOSE
Manage City Business Unit water, wastewater, customer operations and assets, monitor water
network performance, and actively monitor the quality of water/ waste water.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Managerial Responsibilities
Guide department heads and provide them with the necessary steer to ensure the
achievement of their strategic objectives.
Actively manage talent management programs in own function to maximize employee
performance and development.
Identify human resources requirements and develop the business case for hiring,
levels of rewards, and promotions for function employees.
Functional Responsibilities:
Set the departments strategic objectives and operational plans, and ensure the cascading of such to employees individual objectives.
Direct the departments budgeting process and provide the function head with the
departments budget forecast.
Monitor performance against budget and address
variances.
Develop, review and update the smart operations strategy and plan, monitor the implantation of the plan, evaluate its performance and amend accordingly.
Implement the asset management strategy and oversee the replacement and
maintenance activities for the business water and waste water assets in line with established plans and procedures
Support the deployment, replacement and maintenance of the CBU’s smart systems an
evaluate effectiveness usage and performance of these systems.
Monitor the analysis results of water and wastewater characteristics to assure full compliance to regulatory standards and develop actions to meet these standards.
Manage the operations of Identifying and evaluating water/ waste water quality
problems and provide advanced warnings about emergency pollution and report to the top management accordingly.
Oversee the project execution activities within the cluster business unit’s boarders and
support the project team in closing the projects and achieve its objectives.
Lead all customer operations activities within the cluster business unit including the
channels management, billing, complaints management, quality and performance.
Ensure the full adherence to all O&M;, customer service and project execution
standards developed by business head office functions and oversee the monitoring
activities .
Manage water network performance and provide detailed analysis and
recommendation through using appropriate operation technologies/tools.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master degree in engineering, business management or equivalent is preferred
