We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Transportation/ Logistics/ Freight Sales Representative to lead our sales force. This position is responsible for the development of the business from both new and existing customers in order to maintain strong business relationships and grow revenues and uphold our reputation for quality service. Our ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on professional with an in-depth knowledge of the transportation market and a demonstrated ability to network, negotiate and close sales
Main tasks:
• Conduct monthly and weekly service call visitations and prepare reports
• Gather market intelligence/information in terms of freight service opportunities, competitor activities, and service offerings.
• Prospect for new business by identifying new opportunities and establishing contact via telephone, cold calls and appointments
• Formally present business proposals to negotiate business closure and credit terms.
• Achieve sales targets.
• Handle client queries and issues to facilitate resolutions.
• Identify and capitalize on up-selling & cross-selling opportunities.
• Build client and maintain relationships to enable repeat business and growth
