Job Description and Requirements
Job Summary: Major responsibility is for the sale of company products in an assigned geographic territory for the Oil & Gas and Chemical & Industrial markets. Generates and maintains sufficient sales volume to meet or exceed established quotas while operating within an established budget. Major Responsibilities:
Contact customers and prospects within an assigned sales territory for the purpose of sales and service of company products.
Instructs contractors and customers concerning product applications; responsible for ascertaining to a high degree of confidence that contractors and customers are adequately training to properly install products; makes technical presentations; performs product usage and installation demonstrations; calls on customers with distributors.
Searches for new product applications and reports discoveries.
Investigates product complaints, writes reports and assists customers and distributors in finding satisfactory solutions to sales and service problems.
Remains current in knowledge of competitive activities, including product lines, pricing, services and market penetration; reports significant activities to management.
Coordinates handling of special orders, quotas, shipments, material returns, and related matters with the customer service supervisor & coordinators.
Constantly assesses distributor performance and need for replacement.
Assists in establishing a realistic sales quota for the assigned district; generates and maintains sales volume to meet or exceed established quota; prepares sales forecasts.
Qualifications:
University degree with an emphasis on engineering.
Minimum five years relevant sales experience.
Valid driver’s license and a history of safe driving.
Ability to be away from home for multiple days/nights.
Some international travel and/or weekend work will be required.
