LOGISTICS MANAGER

Job Description and Requirements
Job Overview
The role will be responsible increasing of additional and chargeable services of the Company. To generate additional logistics services and revenue streams. To maintain the end user customers profile and loyalty to use the Company’s services as their main gateway terminal.

Reporting to the: Head of Commercial

Responsibilities

Identifying a number of additional and chargeable service product offerings for port users
Outline the cargo flow of imports and exports and identify where the Company can increase its involvement with cargo owners
Take ownership of new products, present these for approval internally, sell the product, close the deal and transfer to active operations
Identify a multi option strategy to recover cargo from Jubail
Trucking services
Empty depots
Pricing Strategy to attract more export through the Company’s services
Ownership of the use of the Company’s services owned Long Haul trucks and their profitable use
Ownership of TTs allocated to additional revenue sharing activities in the port
Identify new projects for investments outside of the core terminal activities

Key Skills

Thorough understanding of logistics.
Ability to identify and construct service products.
Sales and commercial acumen in order to promote and close business deals.
Working across departments in order to secure primarily operational participation in agreeing.
Service products and delivering products.
Ability to provide an initial financial benefit to the Company through basic spread sheet analysis of the product gains.
Microsoft Office Product knowledge – primarily PPT for presentations internally and externally and excel for analysis.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Transportation/ Logistics Management or relevant qualifications
Minimum 5+ years experience within Logistics environment in Saudi Arabia or dealing with KSA
At least 2+ years experience in a management position
Experience in identifying securing of additional commercial activities for a terminal operator
Understanding of port functionality, and the customers’ business and their needs
Understanding of the cargo flow through the port
Open to male Saudi and Arab nationals in KSA now

Salary/Compensation

Salary to be used as a guide only and will reflect experience levels and interview performance
Salary is up to 18k SAR per month base
