Job Description and Requirements
JOB SUMMARY

The
individual shall be with Minimum 5 years of experience in various welding
processes.
Capable to
read blue prints/drawings and interpret welding requirements.
Capable to read
and interpret welding procedures.
Capable to
produce X-RAY quality welds on various metals like carbon steel, stainless
steel and alloy steels.
Capable to
weld “GTAW, SMAW & FCAW “process on piping and structural steels.
Directly
reporting to work shop supervisor/work shop Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Read
Welding procedures and understand welding process.
Withdraw
suitable welding consumables from stores
Welding of
pipes and structural items as per welding process specified in the WPS.
Provide
proper connections to welding machines, Holders, gauges and tools.
Safe
handling of welding gases and tools/grinders.
Grinding
and cleaning/Dress up of the work pieces & welds
Capable to
use various welding gauges and measuring tapes.
Clean work
place Read welding procedures
Maintain
safety regulations and obey company safety rules.
EDUCATION
& EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

ITI, Mechanical
diploma/Technical training certificates in Welding.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Certificate/cards of welder performance qualification of
various welding processes like GTAW,SMAW
& FCAW Welding.

BEHAVIORAL
COMPETENCIES

Help define
an individual’s behavioral strengths that could predict future
successes in the workplace.

TECHNICAL
COMPETENCIES’

Minimum 5
years of experience in welding various metals and processes.
Technical
knowledge about various welding processes.
6G X-Ray
welding qualification.
Capable to
identify various metals and weldability of each material.
Able to use
welding gauges and measuring tapes/instruments.
Best
practice of Storage and handling of welding consumables.
