Fabrication Supervisor

Job Description and Requirements
JOB
SUMMARY:

Manage and control of the complete fabrication works in
the shop floor.
Having good knowledge of
fabrication processes and principles (Welding, cutting, pressing, gas/plasma
cutting works, fit up work etc.).
Expertise knowledge in tools
required for fabrication and working knowledge of ASME Codes.
Solid blueprint interpretation
skills and well versed with engineering drawings of pressure vessels, piping,
process & structural.
Well versed with sequences of
fabrication process for pressure vessel, skid & structural members
Planning and organizing, scheduling
and coordinating, checking, examining and recording
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities of fabrication/welding to
assigned staff to meet functional objectives.
Knowledge of HSE procedures &
practices and comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and
applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international
standards and best practices.
Ensure availability of proper
equipment, material and consumables for all the activities follow approved
methods of statements.
Familiar in e PTW based on the job
schedule, job plans, allocate work, initiate near miss reports and conduct
toolbox meetings to ensure understanding of the daily work tasks.
Supervise dimensional check on
fabricated items/assembly to ensure compliance to drawing tolerances and detail
requirements.
Ensure assembly of the skid /
vessel in accordance with latest drawings.
Comply with relevant HSE policies,
procedures & control and applicable legislation and sustainability
guidelines in line with international standards,
Carry out the activities in safe
manner by applying strictly the Hazard control measures identified in HIRA
(Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) and follow tool box talks and
encourage fellow workers to comply with.

Financial:

Responsible to ensure that projects are executed and completed
within time frame and budget.
Optimize use of manpower for higher
productivity
Strategy:
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best & safe
practice to improve operational performance.
Methods:
Utilize the project execution model to carry
out tasks given in accordance to the company policies, procedures, etc.
Communicate, integrate and cooperate with other discipline to achieve the
common goals
Competencies and manning:
Is familiar with various fabrication techniques and methods.
Hand on working experience on
similar oil and gas fabrication industry.
Project
Execution:

Execute the projects according to PEM.
Follow-up activities of fabrication
& identify what’s coming & take necessary
preventive action.
Colleague:
Work closely with team members within the discipline to ensure the
product is in compliance to the project requirements
Good team

The Company:
Reports to the Fabrication Manager
Work closely with project manager
to ensure latest information is captured & complied.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to plan and organize work
flow in efficient manner
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Technical Certification or Diploma in Engineering in the field of
mechanical.
EXPERIENCE:

10 years minimum experience in OIL & GAS Mechanical
construction field.(Preferably from same fabrication field)
Fabrication experience in process
equipment’s, piping and various process
Modules.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Experience in managing fabricators for pressure vessels, piping
and structural
Excellent communications and
inter-personal/leadership skills are essential.
Ability to manage the relationship
with key stakeholders.
Knowledge of CNC machine operations,
material cutting and forming
