Job Description and Requirements
JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Drilling Solutions Engineer II

Provide engineering technical support for NOV Motors operations and PLE groups whilst expanding Downhole Tools knowledge with a primary specialization in Motors.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Constant customer contact to maintain accurate monitoring of activity, applications and competition.
Provide full engineering support on Motors applications, to ensure the successful utilization and operation of the motors.
Capture Motors performance data from ongoing jobs for the data base entry and prepare present customer run reports and run summaries.
Provide field analysis for failed motors investigation and coordinate with Service Quality Group to provide applicable incident report.
Provide open communication between Drilling Solutions and Product Line engineering.
Support field tests and design improvements.
Make recommendations to enhance existing products to drive reliability.
Assist with the implementation of procedures, best practices following knowledge management processes.
Service center technical support.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Positions will typically require travel
Working hours to be identified by manager
Non-standard work hours, 24/7 contact/availability
expectations for rig/operational support
Comply with Global and Local QHSE policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering Degree.

- 3-4 Years Directional Drilling Operations Experience and 3-4 Years Directional Drilling Engineering Experience.
