Job Description and Requirements
JOB SUMMARY

The
individual shall be with Minimum 5 years of experience in Steel fabrication.
Capable to
read blue prints/drawings and interpret fabrication requirements.
Capable to
read and interpret welding procedures.
Capable of
doing steel structure, Pressure vessels, Tanks & piping fabrication and
assembly works.
Capable to tack
weld.
Directly
reporting to work shop supervisor/work shop Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Read drawings
and understand fabrication process and sequence.
Cutting
& weld bevel edge preparation of steel plates, beams and piping.
Fit-up
/assembly of structure, pressure vessels and piping.
Withdraw
suitable welding consumables from stores for tack welding.
Safe
handling of cutting/welding gases and tools/grinders.
Grinding
and cleaning/Dress up of the work pieces & welds
Capable to
use various measuring tools like Tapes, calipers and weld gauges etc.
Clean work
place and safe handling of materials.
Maintain
safety regulations and obey company safety rules.
EDUCATION
& EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

ITI, Mechanical
diploma/Technical training certificates as Fitter

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience
from similar steel fabrication industry/companies.

COMPETENCIES

Help define
an individual’s behavioral strengths that could predict future
successes in the workplace.

TECHNICAL
COMPETENCIES’

Minimum 5
years of experience in steel fabrication activity.
Technical
knowledge about various fabrication method/sequence.
Capable to
identify various metals and weldability of each material.
Able to use
measuring instruments like measuring tape, Vernier caliper & welding gauges.
Best
practice of Storage and handling of materials and working tools.
