JOB SUMMARY:
Ensures that standards of clinic care are continually being met for all activities in the department and administer all activities carried out in the department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage patients of the department.
Train the Para medical staff, on the management of patients of the department
Conduct research to help improve management of patients.
Establishes rapport with patients.
Participate in patients and family education program.
Diagnose health problem of patients.
Treats health problem of patients.
Advises patients and relatives.
Consult their Registrars/Senior Registrars & Consultants in all difficult and complicated cases.
Makes medical recording and medical reports of all cases.
Assist in surgical operations.
Makes daily rounds of in patients and participates in grand round
Attends and participates in the department conferences and activities.
Assist the chair in the governance of the department.
Serves as liaison officer and public relations officer of the department.
Coordinates the departmental activities with those of the hospital.
Troubleshoots and solves problems in the department.
Ensures accomplishment of quality service in the department.
Ensures accomplishment of quality training in the department
Ensures accomplishment of quality research in the department
Prepare progress and annual reports for the department.
Takes history, conduct physical examination and suggest laboratory investigations and treatments for all cases admitted to the unit either emergency or elective, then discuss management with registrar or senior registrar of the unit or on call and document in patient chart.
Share actively in patient & family education in collaboration with all related other healthcare givers.
Comply with the standards laid down by the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards (JCIA), performs the duties necessary to support and achieve accreditation.
Through the chain of command and/or occurrence variance report, identifies any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the hospital or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations that put patients, staff or visitors at risk for injury or other harm.
Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.

EDUCATION/ LICENSURE:
Education & Licensure:
Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MBBch/MBBS) from accredited School of Medicine.
Maintains a valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties license as Ob & Gyne Resident.
BLS and required courses according to his/her assignment and service area.
Must be Saudi national.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience after his/her MBBS.
SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE:
Fluent in written and spoken English and spoken Arabic is preferable.
Must be emotionally stable and in good physical health.
Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint Presentations, Outlook and Word.
