Job
Summary:

We seek a graduate
mechanical engineer to join the applications and outreach team of NOV Fiber
Glass System facility located in Dammam.

Represent FGS Dammam
as the technical fiberglass pipe design engineer, ensuring that FGS products
are sold and installed in the proper application with design and operation parameters
within the specified product operating envelope with support from the senior application
engineer.
Applications and outreach team applies product
knowledge and engineering principles, ensuring all FGS products are sold and
installed in the proper applications that do not exceed their specified design
and operating capabilities. Provide
technical support to Sales, Distributors and End Users by answering technical
questions about product, relevant codes and standards to identify FGS products
that meet application requirements.
Major
Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned.

Serve as technical
gate keeper ensuring FGS product is not improperly sold or installed in an
application with service parameters outside the safe limits of the product.
Provide answers for
technical questions, including questions pertaining to codes and standards for
customers with support from the senior application engineer.
Guide selection of product line for given
applications based on chemical and physical compatibilities with support from
the senior application engineer.
Perform engineering calculations and present
results for items related to fiberglass pipe products, including pipe
properties, design verifications, flow mechanics and pipe sizing.
Develop and maintain technical information in
product literature, ensuring published parameters are commensurate with ongoing
QC test results and manufacturing practices.
Visit job sites to
resolve technical issues with design, installation and field failures and to
develop a working relationship with customer’s key technical staff.
Provide input from
customers to appropriate functions within the Division to improve products or
procedures.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in
mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
Command of
mathematical and scientific rules and methods to solve problems.
College level
Chemistry along with knowledge of material selection and application.
Basic knowledge of
the corrosion sciences.
Possess technical
aptitude and ability to understand engineering, design and product performance
issues.
Ability to be familiar
with industrial processes, particularly onshore and offshore oilfield production
processes.
Adequate verbal,
written and analytical skills with a professional and helpful demeanor.
Computer literacy
using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, or other comparable software.
Available for
overnight & international travel.
