Job Description and Requirements
ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST REPORTING TO

OPERATIONS MANAGER MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

3 Years in similar industry

Previous Experience with NOV Hydra Rig / Elmar products is advantageous

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

1. Work to project & production schedules.

2. Liaise with engineering, shop supervisors, production & service managers

3. Use of PPE.

Main Duties & responsibilities: -

a. ATEX / Zone II compliance

b. CTES data acquisition hard/software, installations, maintenance, start ups & trouble shooting.

c. When requested, field servicing, trouble shooting & commissioning customer located units/systems.

4. Train & advise electrical personnel in the correct methods of servicing mobile offshore units including the installation of:-

a. Exed enclosures

b. Exed Glands

c. Exed Instrumentation

d. Wiring units to ATEX specifications

e. Installing cabling, lighting & switch gear.

f. Control panel installation.

5. Adopt and follow safe working practise at all times.

6. Contribute to the continual improvement of working practises.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Use any safety devices and guards fitted.

Maintain good housekeeping standards within the department and ensure that gangways, working spaces, fire exits and fire equipment are kept clear of obstructions at all times.

Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who maybe affected by their acts or omissions.

No person shall interfere with or misuse anything provided to secure health & safety.

Reporting promptly all near hits, accidents, defects and potential hazards.

Degree in Electrical / Electronics field or substantial relevant on job experience.
