Daily Operations:
• Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the Merchandisers to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
• Prepare reports of Merchandising section timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
• Share reports on daily basis with Sales & Merchandising Line Managers.
• Obtain and maintain knowledge of the sales and distribution channels and of competitors’ activity throughout the area, and share and discuss with the ASM for appropriate actions.
Obtain insights into Key Account policies/procedures/plans and share with RSM.
Merchandising:
• Conduct daily visits to the field with Merchandising team to evaluate performance and help in improving it.
• Ensure conducting at least one full day per month with each team member
• Ensure consistent and constant “Plan-o-grams” implementation according to company’s policy and definition
• Ensure implementation of the POSM as per the company’s instructions
• Monitor competitors’ activities in order to identify and report on any market trends
• Ensure that company’s assets under merchandising responsibility are safe and effectively utilized at store level and also in the branch
• Maintain shelf space in accordance with respective customer agreements ensuring ASD are receiving agreed share of shelf or beyond. Ensure execution of the agreements with Key Accounts, according to instructions, and maintain good business relations with the representatives of Key Accounts in the area.
Identify opportunities in stores to obtain additional space for display of products or suitable for branding. Communicate opportunities to line manager, National Merchandising Mgr.
Direction of Subordinates:
• Organize and supervise the activities and work of a team of subordinates to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient, effective and procedurally compliant manner.
• Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates in order to ensure their continuous development.
Policies, Processes & Procedures:
• Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
• Provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence to relevant policies and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
• Ensure information feed into systems accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure that the vehicles are clean and tidy inside and outside as well as the employee uniforms, in order to present the company professionally and be recognized by customers
