Basic Function:
Carry out the day to day operations of HSE department and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety and Environmental management by providing technical support.
Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Carry out the day to day operations of HSE department and contribute to the application of effective. Health, Safety and Environmental management by providing technical support.
• Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation.
• Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary.
• Provide assistance and advice on HSE issues to make recommendations to facility management.
• Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
• Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
• Provide induction for all new employees on OHSE topics.
• Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE training.
• Educate and train all our employees located at different branches to embrace environment, health and safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible manner.
• Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies.
• Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages workers for safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.
• Act as a member of the safety committee.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
• Should be able to work independently or a part of a team
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
