INTERNAL AUDITOR – Saudi Arabia
JOB SUMMARY:
Works on-site at our various retail store locations. Conducts store operational audits and inventories.
Responsible for protecting assets, ensures compliance of established internal controls and procedures,
verifies assets and liabilities, communicates audit findings, and complies with local requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. To review the company’s operations at appropriate intervals to ensure that instructions policies
and procedures set out by the board and the management to ensure internal controls are
complied with.
2. Conduct detailed reviews, analysis and appraisal of the various business activities policies and
procedures and internal control systems and make recommendations for improvements and
ensure that they are effective and efficient
3. Prepare working programs for audit function to ensure that the audits are planned and well
managed.
4. Identify and evaluate existing areas of risk and controls in the company in order of importance
and priority and recommend ways of alleviation
5. Assess the soundness of accounting procedures, reliability of financial records and timeliness and
relevance of financial reports.
6. Reviewing of internal controls and procedures to ensure the company’s operations are well
coordinated.
7. Carrying out audit related investigations including suspected fraud and corrupt activities within
the company.
8. Overseeing stock takes and write-offs as well as conducting random checks.
9. Coordinate with external auditors and other review activities ensuring proper briefing on areas of
concern and cost effectiveness of such exercises.
10. Monitoring implementation status of past audit recommendations.
11. Assist in formulation of management policies, procedures and regulations.
12. Oversee and supervise effective and efficient running of the internal audit department
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be asked to assume additional tasks and responsibilities if appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. College degree with a strong background in accounting our business administration
2. Strong understanding and working knowledge of the retail and grocery industry
3. Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel
4. Able to work effectively individually, in small groups or teams
5. Must be detail-oriented.
6. Skill in oral and written communication to document and communicate audit findings.
7. Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
8. Able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
9. Able to visit multiple locations.
10. Able to work in harmony with others.
11. Able to make quick decisions and take appropriate steps on workplace issues even under
pressure.
