A Leading Holding Company with diversified business interests across a spectrum of industries including Wholesale, retail, real estate, business services, and technology is seeking to hire a Head of Information Technology.

Work closely with all the divisions (MD Management, Corporate Operations, Finance, Retail, and Wholesale) to formulate the IT strategy in alignment with the overall strategic objectives of the group
Develop the departmental goals, budgets and KPIs in line with the overall divisional objectives.
Develop departmental policies and ensure processes and procedures are in place to deliver on these policies.
Develop appropriate controls to monitor adherence to departmental policies and procedures and effectively address variances as applicable.
Monitor and control expenditure against the approved budget and reconcile budget variances to ensure on-target performance against budgets.
Define and maintain a roadmap for the provision of IT operations to support all IT activities and services.
Maintain the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
Manage the effective provision of operations team technical resources to all aspects of IT services.
Manage day-to-day IT operations, servers, telecommunication systems, and data center including environment and platforms.
Maintain the IT operations technical toolset (including documentation of procedures, services implementation, and operations standard platform environment).
Manage alerts and incidents in the production environment, and coordinate responses and solutions with team members and/or suppliers.
Manage contracts with external suppliers including SLA where appropriate. Ensure regular follow-up meetings with external suppliers in order to ensure optimal service levels.
Responsible for staff management and staff development, including performance reviews, overall staff morale and motivation, and general staff well-being.
Ensure that all company IT users are provided with efficient and timely IT support.
Monitor the effectiveness of IT policies being implemented through systematic audits, as required.
Preserve IT assets by implementing and monitoring disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security mechanisms.
Perform any other duty, within a reasonable professional boundary, as assigned by the Chairman and Managing Director from time to time.

المهارات
Job Specific Skills:

Solid experience in managing IT infrastructure, network (data & voice), applications, server, storage, backup, and database
Deep understanding of network security concepts including VLANS, Cisco network switches routers, firewalls, IPS, IDS, content filtering
Sound Knowledge in basic LAN/WAN topologies and other networking technologies and security
Sound Knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration concepts
Extensive experience in working with various servers and storage solutions
Fully conversant and up-to-date with current trends, developments, and global best practices in IT operations and hardware technologies
Excellent knowledge of overall project management methodologies & processes for execution and implementation of ERP and other software applications

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Oracle ERP system certifications
Industry certifications (ITIL, PMP, Prince2 or equivalent)
