MARINE ENGINEER

الوصف الوظيفي
We are looking for a Marine Engineer who will be responsible for all issues pertaining to the operation, maintenance and repair of all major mechanical and engineered equipment on board a ship. The candidate’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Scope of Job:

• Managing the mechanical systems that help in the operations of any vessel like the propulsion mechanics, electricity and power generation system, lubrication, fuel system, water distillation and lighting and air conditioning system.
• Maintaining the mechanical and electrical operations of the yacht.
• Maintain a detailed inventory, record keeping and planning maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of the engine room.
• Ensure highest safety levels of the engine room.
• Able to deal with major maintenance and breakdown of machinery systems at the sea.
• Follow all the instructions of a chief engineer, the head of the engine room department of the ship.
• Design and oversee testing, installation, and repair of marine apparatus and equipment.
• Evaluate operation of marine equipment during acceptance testing and shakedown cruises.
• Inspect marine equipment and machinery in order to draw up work requests and job specifications.

المهارات
Job Profile:

• Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or related field.
• Outboard Engine Certification as well as Tender driving certification is advantageous Knowledge of yacht safety procedures.
• Understanding Basic systems of super yachts
• Knowledge of general systems on board, i.e. diesel, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, electronics and outboards.
• Team player, able to assist with some deck duties, i.e. line handling, water sports.
• Flexible and able to function well under pressure
• Strong project management skills
