Team Lead - Admission and Billing

Job purpose:

The Team Lead - Admission and Billing has responsibility for posting medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts in a timely and accurate manner. The Team Lead - Admission and Billing will also process insurance claim denials, file appeals, and contact insurance companies. This position works in a close team environment to meet daily, monthly, and quarterly billing metrics. Other responsibilities include answering patient account balance questions, verifying correct insurance filing information on behalf of the client and patient, verifying receipt of all patient registration data from client, and notifying client of potential coding problems.

Responsibilities:

Understanding and staying informed of the changes with procedures, billing guidelines, and laws for specific insurance carries or payers.
Coaching performance, completing performance reviews, goal setting, development planning, and rewards.
Supervising teams of charge entry and collections personnel.
Claims submission and tracking.
Payment posting.
Actively follow up and collect on all electronic claims, including resolution of any billing errors assigned following established procedures.
Respond to correspondence from insurance carries.
Responsible for handing customer service issues in a timely manner per provider request.

المهارات
Education requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or mathematics, or in a similar discipline
Language requirements

Fluent English & Fluent Arabic
Experience

4-5+ years of experience leading a medical billing team
3-5+ years of experience in customer service.
Proven experience administering appeals in a high-volume claims environment
Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of medical billing and customer service.
Ability to delegate task and implement processes and procedures
Strong communications skills in both oral and written.
Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills and negotiating skills.
Supervising teams of charge entry and collections personnel.
