Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Ensure the survey team has access to appropriate calibrated instruments and mathematical calculation software.
Ensure all staff understands applicable contract documents / standard codes.
Ensure the survey team has access to appropriate calibrated instruments and mathematical calculation software.
Read and understands applicable contract documents / standard codes.
Ensure that junior staff follows project specific dimensional control plan and that all survey work is logged and distributed.
Liaise with the Client Representative on all matters that affecting dimension control inspections.
Ensure the dimension control plan contains appropriate checks and negotiate any additional requirements by the client.
Attend Quality Audits and other site surveillance activities.
Ensure that the assigned project dimensional activities are carried out both accurately and timely.
Provide necessary training for Junior staff.
Review and approve different types of document listed below.
Project Dimensional Control Plan.
Post-weld survey reports
Instrument Calibration reports.
Out of Tolerance reports (OOT).
Ensure Out of Tolerance registers are maintained, and all non-conformances are signed off by the responsible Project Superintendent.
Assist the General Superintendent and his fabrication team plan and review build sequences / distortions.
Identify and discuss with Fabrication Superintendents and Senior ops. Engineer any new or unusual survey requirements.
Responsible for the supply and calibration of all equipment used by the dimensional control group.
Review / perform dimensional control surveys.
Responsible to do all necessary arrangements for barge level survey during the load outs.
Essential Qualifications and Education:

3-year Diploma in Technical Engineering or Civil Engineering or equivalent (Preferred: BSC in Civil Engineering.
10+ years’ experience in Dimensional Control in fabrication.
Preferred Qualifications and Education:

Sound Knowledge in Surveying Instruments (Total Station, Auto Level & Theodolites)
Skilled in AutoCAD and MS office packages.
3 years production control leading a team of engineers or surveyors plus 3 years surveying.
