PLANT MANAGER – SEWAGE WATER TREATMENT PLANTPOSITION SUMMARYManaging the contract and the plant as per client requirements and leading a multi-disciplinary team to produce treated sewage water safely and cost-efficiently while developing a trustful relationship with client by ensuring transparency and high-quality works. Oversees and responsible of overall plant activities. MAIN TASKSOversees and responsible of overall water treatment plant’s activities, operations, and maintenance.Regularly reporting to the client on the O&M;activities in line with the contractual requirements.O&M;contract review and negotiation with the client. Lead and coordinate the STW team.Minimize and optimize the O&M;costs. Annual budget preparation and control to comply with targets.IMS review and implementation.Resolve internal and external conflicts/dispute.Develop and review of policies/procedures (FMECA, RCM, Audits, Inspections, etc…).Assessing risks, communication, and action plant for mitigation.Provide support to the project team of AV in O&M;related topics.Leadership of HSHEQ (Health, Safety, Hygiene, Environment and Quality).Monitor local regulations and environmental guidelines to create and update wastewater treatment procedures for compliance.Ensure that all plant milestones/goals/KPIs are achieved within the given timeframe. Plan, schedule, and assign tasks/responsibilities to team and prepare reports relative to the completion of projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s, and/or PHD in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental) / relevant subject with a specialization in Hydrology or Wastewater.Local Candidate (Qatar): with UPDA or under process to obtain in 2022.MBA and experience in contracts management in Qatar and/or Middle East is a must.Familiarity with the local (Qatar) or Middle East/ Gulf Region work environment is an advantage. Minimum of 10 years experience in wastewater treatment / operation and maintenance of wastewater plants.Previous experience as Plant Manager of wastewater treatment facility with a capacity higher than 250,000 m³/day.Possess intensive knowledge of operations, services and activities of water and wastewater treatment programs, methods, and techniques used in the industryUnderstand principles of chemistry and biology associated with the concepts and theories of system processes.Knowledge and ability to monitor the operation of the water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to the review of laboratory data, sewage flow, digester operations, sludge characteristics and disposal, and bypass occurrences methods, practices, procedures, and equipment used in the treatment, operation, maintenance, and repair of water/wastewater treatment systems.Ability to apply plan, organize, coordinate, assign and evaluate the work of assigned staff.Capable to work under pressure. Considerable knowledge of safe working procedures and practices; skill in using a variety of potentially hazardous tools, equipment, and vehicles safely.Negotiations and contract skills is a must. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is mandatory and work in multicultural teams. Proficient in various computer software and Office 365 and good ability to prepare reports.Age: 35 to 45 years oldJoining Date: Immediately
