OVERVIEW:

To provide leadership and senior architectural advisory for the QF cloud stack. This will often include planning, resource allocation, and oversight of multiple projects, processes, and deliverables. The Cloud Enterprise Architect is tasked with the development and design of robust, scalable, secure cloud-based platforms. The senior subject matter expert for implementing and overseeing the cloud compute strategy of QF.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leverage on Cloud environment and service-oriented architecture principles to define and own Solution Architecture applications and data technologies
Analysis and creation of technical artifacts for “AS-IS” cloud, virtualization of the infrastructure in CLIENT enterprise datacenters, including OS, applications, servers, storage and backup
Provide technical management in enterprise class hosting, storage and backup infrastructure.
Analyze technical requirements and blueprints to determine infrastructure designs, potential issues and related costs.
Manage and track the department initiatives and build the high-level propositions accordingly
Formulate business cases, SoW, provide input to the IT strategy and annual budgeting.
Create and update architectural artifacts and models, platforms and designs.
Review and select solutions for the enterprise technology landscape.
Align all activities and deliverables to the enterprise architecture framework.
Responsible for the enhancement of Microsoft technology stack but not limited to Azure, AD DS, Azure AD, and Exchange.
Assist to establish a customer experience strategy with cooperation from the cloud and data center provider - organization and management teams.
Collaborate with data center/cloud providers and their resources, leveraging a solid understanding of troubleshooting techniques.
A high level of professionalism, communication, coordination and exemplary customer service principles are essential for this position.
Provide technical thought leadership to innovate and build differentiating assets in migration and modernization of platforms.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Expert understanding of the data center infrastructure and operations.
Extensive understanding of Public cloud service offerings (laas, PaaS, Saas)
Comprehensive understanding of security, virtualization, storage, backup, cloud computing, business continuality and planning or disaster recovery.
VMware, Hyper-V, Virtual Machines, SAN, NAS, Backup solutions - Azure & OCI Native Backup, Veeam, NetBackup, Commvault.
Windows Server 2008 and above, application servers, NS SOL and tools, AD, Exchange, Power Sheff expert
Enterprise application architecture (share point, Web-based systems, ERP systems, Exchange, Active Directory, etc.)
Cloud Governance Frameworks and Cloud Security best practices.
Azure laaS, PaaS, Saas, Dev0ps and N365
Technical experience in migrating complex, multi-tier applications on hybrid cloud platforms.
Familiar with agile methodologies
Proficiency with NS Office applications
Preferred:
Cloud networking and security services / appliances.
Windows clustering and network load balancing is beneficial.
Understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure l0Cll
Linux, Solaris. Oracle EBS

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 15 years overall IT industry experience
Minimum 10 years working experience on production enterprise environments.
Minimum 5 years in a Cloud architecture role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud laas, PaaS and Saas platforms.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in architecting and designing technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using Azure laas, PaaS and Saas [including N365) capabilities.
Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEN, etc.
Experience in migrating infrastructures and apps: lift & shift, VN migration, storage migration, re- install /refresh, re-platform & re-architecture workloads.
Experience building and supporting mission critical technology components with DR capabilities.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical and business problems in a non-technical manner.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
Extensive experience to apply clear critical thinking in complex, stressful situations.
Excellent command of English combined with excellent stakeholder management experience
Proven ability to deliver tasks on-time and adherence to deadlines.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency (engineering discipline) or equivalent work experience
Mandatory Technology related certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate.
Mandatory: TOGAF 9.2 Certified
Microsoft Certifications such as NCSA/NCSE, ITIL and others like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification(s), Other
