System Admin Job Description

Duration of Contract :- (6 month with extension possibility)

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Install, configure, test and maintain Server operating systems, application software and system management tools
To make sure all the servers and applications are updated with latest patches
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
Provide technical direction to IT Support staff
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Job Requirements:

Advanced administration skills in Windows Servers 2008- 2016
Advanced administration skills in Microsoft Exchange 2010-2016
Advanced administration skills in Virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Virtual Box)
Required administration skill in Linux (E.g.:- Ubuntu, Red hat, etc...)
Good knowledge in Hyper Conversance (Dell,Cisco,HP,etc,)
Experience in Backup for physical and virtual servers and applications
Experience in Administration Storage and related technologies (E.g.:- FC, FCoE, SAN switch, VSAN)
Preferred to have SCCM experience and Preferred to have solid scripting skills (PowerShell)
Experience with monitoring systems
Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
Experience with SharePoint up to latest version.
Office 365/SharePoint Online Maintenance/ Troubleshooting
Preferred to have knowledge in Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics (ATA),LAPS
Minimum Experience in Windows System Administration is 5 years.
Certifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Diploma in Information Technology

Professional certifications: - Candidate must have MCSE and other certifications preferred such as VCP
