Role Objective:
To ensure that the network elements and its security are performing at the highest level, at the same time serve as a single point of contact for requirement gathering and evaluation of the systems.
Key Accountabilities
Maintain the systems that allow organizations to function and communicate, both internally and externally
Maintain network environment
Identify and collect the requirements for the network improvements
Install, upgrade and troubleshoot network and systems
Monitor network performance a propose actions to improve or fine tune it
Ensure the security of IT environment by implementing required controls
Manage Firewall / WAF and other IT security devices.
Perform other duties assigned by direct supervisor to ensure that the flow of work is continuous and adequate relief is provided.

Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or similar with 5+ years of experience.
CCNP Certification is essential with advanced understanding of metro networks: WAN, LAN.
Must have good experience on MPLS Technologies – L3 MPLS VPNS, VRF’s and IDS, IPS. CDP, Frame-relay, PPP, Access Control List (ACL)
Experience
Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in managing a large scale, multi-platform, primary and backup data center environment including Cisco and Juniper Networking Systems, Firewall, Anti-Virus, Remote access
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco Switches, routers and firewalls. Experience network design and implementation.
Experience in IT Project Management and knowledge of Project Management Methodologies, tools & techniques.
Experience in VMWare, Linux will be an advantage

Technical Competencies
IT services management, service level agreements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and best practices in IT services management, infrastructure management and IT security.
Disaster recovery, business continuity and backup planning.
Knowledge of and experience with design architecture and implementing highly secure, multi-tier and distributed systems architectures.
Industry standard certifications processes.
Must be experienced on Cisco Metro Ethernet Switches – ME3400, ME3750 switches and other Layer 3 Switches, switching protocols, technologies, cables, racks, TCP/IP IPv4 and IPv6, DNS.
Knowledge in Juniper, IBM, F5, Fortinet Systems are required
Additional security certifications will an advantage
Good communication skills in English both written and oral with experience in documentation
