Job Purpose:-

KBC Engineering Co. W.L.L is looking for self-driven dynamic young professionals, who have the spirit to Steel Fabrication Drafting experience, the right attitude, to work in a team as a family member for the following posts.

Key Responsibilities:-

As a draftsman, you will initially gain an understanding of the scope and requirements of the project. Once drafts have been completed, they are presented to the project manager/builder for review.
Reviews Client’s technical documentation and requirements.
Maintains project technical files.
Control subcontracted discipline engineering documents.
Sets up and executes assigned engineering activities such as detailed design, verification, and studies relevant to any engineering topic associated with Discipline, pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimization in terms of costs, fabrication simplicity, and safety.
Prepares design specifications.
Develops studies and calculation notes for steel structures and structural steel buildings.
Prepares MTO (Material Take Off) and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
Prepares technical specifications for steel structure sub-contract.
Prepares technical documentation for steel structure material requisition and assists the procurement dept. in the technical evaluations.
Controls manufacturer’s shop drawings and connection calculation notes and details.
Implements discipline follow-up activities.
Implements field engineering activities.
Conferring with architects and/or engineers, to gain an understanding of the scope and requirements of a project.
Prepare sketches and drawings for fabrication, including civil, structural, etc and communication layout section elevation.
Utilizing both manual drawing skills as wells as computer‐based applications, such as automated computer‐assisted drafting, to create both two‐dimensional and three‐dimensional renderings of the finished project.
Make simple but professional computation through the use of tables, charts, etc.
Presenting drafts to the architect or engineer for review and makes changes to the renderings.
Supervise allocated projects from the site.
Prepares bill of materials and cost estimates of simple structures.
Acquire further knowledge by attending training courses and or seminars required by the Company.
Complies with all Company safety procedures and regulations.

Key Skills:-

Excellent technical drawing skills with knowledge of related computer software
Keen interest in design, architecture, and drafting.
Ability to visually interpret other people’s ideas.
Ability to work quickly and to respond to any required changes.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures.
A full driving license is essential as studios and locations are rarely easily accessible.
An ability to take on tasks, no matter how tricky – diplomacy onset can be the key to being offered subsequent jobs be able to work easily as part of the team.
Education & Experience:-

Diploma or Certificate in Civil/Structural Draughtsman ship
Minimum 3 Years’ Experience in draughting and checking of fabrication drawings for structural steelwork and other components for industrial buildings in Tekla and/or AutoCAD.
Excellent command of AutoCAD at an advanced level; ArchiCAD an added advantage
MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Power-point) with excellent command of oral and written English.
Good knowledge of structural draughting processes and procedures in a steel fabrication company.
Visa Status:-

Local transfer with NOC is mandatory
