Radiology Technologist (Temporary)

The incumbent will be responsible to utilize radiologic equipment and instruments to develop diagnostic images of a patient’s body which assists medical professionals diagnose and analyze patient’s disorders, illnesses, and diseases

Key Accountabilities & Duties

Perform and develop accurate and precise diagnostic images using relevant drugs such as Radiopaque agents.
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce images of the patient’s body for diagnostic purposes.
Adhere to medical asepsis and precautions per imaging procedures and other radiologic practices.
Identify and manage patient’s reactions to contrast media and other medications and use strategies to minimize adverse reactions.
Improve and implement protection techniques against radiations and utilize beam restrictive devices and patient shielding.
Develop results and maintain quality in production by abiding with the organization’s quality and safety procedures.
Obtain and document imaging requests and forms from patient’s physician, and follow imaging needs and requirements.
Guide and instruct patients’ for radiological procedures and adjust immobilization devices, set exposure factors, and regulate equipment controls.
Maintain radiology records, update patient’s files, and report results to the
Radiologist.
Ensure safety and protection of patients and staff, by following radiation safety
measures and using radiation protection devices.
Guide patients through the radiology imaging procedures, such as positioning
and dress code, to ensure accurate outcome of images.
Instruct patients to undertake appropriate positions to capture the exact area of
the patient’s body.
Guide and instruct new Radiology Technologists/technicians and trainees in
producing images, and analyzing images accurately.
Supervise and direct the Radiology Technicians on producing images,
analyzing images, inventory management and documentation.
Maintain extensive knowledge in radiology equipment, and processes, and stay
up-to-date with new radiological practices.
Demonstrate proactive approach to patient safety by thinking what might go
wrong in all your undertakings and take necessary measures to prevent them
from happening.
Identify and report potential or actual patient safety concerns, errors and/or
near misses in timely manner.
Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures and protocols.
Demonstrate as sense of team work and effective communication.
Partner with line manager to understand risks in your area of work, develop a
plan on how to mitigate those risks, and develop shared accountability for
implementing and evaluating the plan.
Understand patient safety and ensure it is part of the care delivery.
Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care process.
The incumbent will undertake any such related duties or responsibilities as
directed.
Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard any sensitive information.
المهارات
Qualifications

Bachelors in Medical Imaging or its equivalent.

Certifications, License or Training Requirements

CPR course certificate.
QCHP License

Experience & Knowledge

4 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.

Skills Requirements

Good communication skills both verbally and in
writing.
Interpersonal skills sufficient for tactfully
communicating with patients.
Compassionate and sympathetic towards others.
High degree of self-discipline and motivation.
Good organizing skills together with methodical ways
and planning.
