Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering from a reputed university
Experience: More than 7 years of relevant experience in a similar industry of which minimum 3+years of supervisory experience preferably in the area of electricity control systems
Good knowledge about international standards and KM standards and practices
Has good experience in switching operations and commissioning procedures of HV / EHV equipment considering the safety rules of power system operation and has enough knowledge about different types of testing required before, during and after energizing.

Interview: Pass authorization interview and qualify as Senior Authorized person
Prepares commissioning procedures program and transmission system operational safety precautions required to energize the new HV / EHV equipment considering the system security and supply continuity.
Performs pre-fault and post-fault analysis to highlight weakness of operation performance, and issues the necessary reports to the concerned parties to take the corrective actions and posts incident management draft reports in collaboration with concerned parties
Prepares, maintains and revises all system operation reports, designs its format and creates a historical database for system data for analysis and retrieval
Ability to deal with any additional tasks required to meet the operation planning related duties and activities
Ensures the safety, reliability and security of the electricity generation and transmission networks, by supervising the entire electricity supply process from the DGCC/NCC utilizing the SCADA software.
Directs the switching operations by giving instructions to field engineers for switching in the Transmission network and primary substations for maintenance or repair of network components, and for after-fault restorations
Issues Permit to Work (PTW), Sanction For Tests (SFT), isolation & Earthing certificates and other safety documents as per requirement for work in the field and ensures appropriate safety standards.
Participates in ensuring the operation of the Grid Control Center and supports the Senior Engineer - DGCC/NCC in supervising the activities within the DGCC/NCC.
Supports the Senior Engineer DGC/NCC in ensuring the continuity of power supply to the industrial and domestic consumers.
Ensures compliance with the operational policies of Kahramaa across the Electricity Network, as developed by the Head of NCC and Senior Engineer – DGCC/NCC.
Conducts load-shedding in accordance with previously set methods, in case of electricity generation shortage or other system contingencies
Identifies and reports any faults that may occur, as observed from the DGCC/NCC control room.
Attends to system faults and takes the necessary proactive decisions to restore the system back to its normal working conditions, thereby restoring the supply (in case of power failures) at the earliest
Supervises the effective conduct of repair works and other activities.
Keeps management informed about important events and abnormalities, coordinates with various sections of the Electricity Control Systems Department and attends to all other routine works in the DGCC/NCC, in coordination with the Senior Engineer DGCC/NCC.
Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the National Control Center Section are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations.
Performs other related duties as needed upon request / instruction by the immediate supervisor.
