SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

Responsible for all aspects of the interior design process and leads the project team to develop design solutions with efficient and functional use of space.
Assists the Senior Management to respond to RFP (Request for Proposal) of the Clients.
Consults with clients to determine preferences, purpose and function of environment, budget, types of construction, equipment to be installed and other factors which affect interior design planning, design conceptualization & space management
Conducts feasibility studies for the clients and advise them on design or renovation of internal spaces including aesthetics, structural alterations, furnishings, fixtures and fittings, lighting and colour schemes.
Integrates findings with knowledge of interior design and formulates environmental plan to be practical, aesthetic and conducive for intended purpose
Renders design ideas in form of drawings/illustrations which is subject for senior management and client’s review and approval. Follow up with the client and answer their technical queries.
Coordinates with Architectural, Structural, Electromechanical, Plumbing, Quantity Surveying and other departments/sections to complete the project in a timely and cost-effective manner whilst ensuring application of all required building and safety codes
Provides guidance to the following:
Subordinates for preparation of detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes
Production studios for preparation of scale drawings, IFA (Issue for Approval) drawings, tender drawings and IFC (Issue for Construction) drawings etc.
Responds to RFI (Request for Information) from the contractors at tender stage.
Monitors status and progress of interior design phase of project, prepares reports and analysis reflecting progress, undesirable trends with recommendations to improve the system
Guide others when using computer assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.
Examines and provides approval of the material samples including other submittals with respect to the standard specifications before presenting it to the client.
Plans, monitors, reviews and approves the work output of interior designers in his team.
Prepares the Interior Designers’ work flow and provides the management a report regarding their performance, productivity and compliance of established standards of company and the industry.
Motivates each member and to help them develop their potential to deliver innovative designs and standard detailing.
