Job Purpose: To pioneer and lead the formulation and implementation of effective policies, strategies & plans that are aligned with QIG’s strategic direction for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility; and exert leadership on the organizations under the area(s) assuring that they are embracing QIG’s values, working within the sector’s approved policies, strategies & plans, and consistently delivering profitability and sustainable growth with continual commitment to excellence, innovation, and best practice. Job Responsibilities: · Set and own policies, strategies & plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility and assure their alignment with QIG’s strategic direction. · Develop and own the annual business plans in line with the approved policies, strategies & plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility. · Establish effective dashboards for KPIs and score-cards to monitor and assure the effectiveness of the deployed policies, strategies & plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility. Ensure that the principal risks for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility, including but not limited to, environmental, operational, financial, geological, legal and regulatory risks, are identified and that appropriate systems are in place which effectively monitor and manage those risks. · Oversee the business activities and operations of the area(s) within the scope of responsibility and assure their alignment to the overall strategy of the company. · Assure continuous and effective commitment to optimization, continuous improvements and operational excellence throughout the activities and operations of the area(s) within the scope of responsibility. · Develop an awareness of global trends and technological advancements in the core lines of operations of the area(s) within the scope of responsibility to sustain technological edge and innovation in all aspects of its activities and operations. · Foster a results-oriented and customer-focused environment delivering premium customer service and achieving optimal customer satisfaction and loyalty. · Effectively manage relations with external stakeholders in support of the approved policies, strategies & plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility. · Proactively liaise with the Business Development function at QIG to identify, study, propose and pursue new business opportunities in line with the approved strategies & plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility. · Proactively liaise with the Business Development function at QIG to identify business development opportunities for existing investments and evaluate their economic and commercial viability. · Compile the annual budget for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility and monitor expenditure against approved budget assuring the realization of the intended results and outcomes. · Assure increased cash flow and positive cash position for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility through effective cost structure, payment collections, increased assets utilization, reduced debtor days, and other similar effective sustainable measures. · Assure increased profits and sustainable growth in line with budgets for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility Expand revenue opportunities through recommending initiatives and strategies for the diversification of products and/or services portfolio and exploitation of potential acquisitions and high-end better-value investments in line with QIG’s growth strategy budgets for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility. · Develop and inspire a cross-functional team to implement the strategy of the area(s) within the scope of responsibility and achieve the intended targets. · Create a positive and supportive work environment that encourages performance excellence, and establishes result-oriented teams with common purpose, goals and shared-values for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility. · Manage performance of the team within the scope of responsibility and assure their compliance with the established policies, strategies & plans, and their contributions towards the realization of intended results. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential partners/ clients in order to pursue potential business expansion initiatives. · Attend events and exhibitions to expand the area(s) network and maintain relationship with existing and potential partners/ clients. Perform any relevant additional duties and responsibilities as directed by Top Management and/or the immediate superior Accountabilities · Brand position with the stakeholders of the area(s) within the scope of responsibility · Actual expenditures in line with approved budget for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility · Sustainable profitability in line with agreed targets for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility · Business growth in line with agreed targets for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility · Compliance against statutory requirements for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility · QHSSE performance for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility Performance of the team within the scope of responsibility
