OVERVIEW
IT Manager manages and directs all IT related activities of the organization and implements and maintains policies and goals that support the organization’s IT needs. Helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency. Ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational needs.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1. Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
1.2. Works with project teams to help implement Internal Systems.
1.3. Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
1.4. Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT suppliers.
1.5. Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
1.6. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
1.7. Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
1.8. Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
1.9. Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
1.10. Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures

QUALIFICATION & KNOWLEDGE
3.1. Computer hardware and software systems and programs
3.2. Computer networks, network administration and network installation
3.3. Computer troubleshooting
3.4. Computer viruses and security
3.5. Local E-mail and internet programs an understanding, cultural and political environment
3.6. Degree in IT or equivalent experience
3.7. Minimum 7 years of experience preferably local
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English
